I think "helping to getting rid of our oil dependency" is flawed from the gate. How are you going to generate the electricity for the car? A lot of that comes from oil.

And as for you, my commentor, not having oil dependency can have a lot to say to stability and security. I.e. someone can not threaten your energy supply and it will free the US from all those blood for oil wars that the US keeps getting accused of.

Yes, but our electric grid uses several diverse forms of energy. Say if our oil supply was cut off completly and we all used electric plugin cars. Sure we would be hurt but we would still be able to get to work if we cut back on other things and conserved. As it is I and many others would be forced to start sleeping at work and many jobs would simply shut down as the economy experienced a complete freefall.

Good point, which is exactly why movie rental places are still doing good business. I never know when I'll have a few friends over and we'll decide to pop down to the video rental store. You simply can't do this with NetFlix. Of course the future of on-demand movie is here in a limited form (what your cable company offers) and is just around the corner is a much more expansive form (once the bandwidth and movie studios get up to par). /Of course this all is a lie as I'm a parent of a pre-teen so those "friends" are probably my daughters friends wanting to spend the night and rent the latest teenybopper movie.

Well then thats interesting. Probably still mostly related to the toughness of adopting as a homo as many agencies even when its legal in that state will be more careful with a homo couple. But its not impossible to believe that you would have less cases of abuse as the tendency is towards effeminisation. Though its shown that overly effeminate people generally have more trouble setting and keeping boundaries for their children.

What is ignorant about the fact that hetros have many unplanned children and homos don't? This obviously leads to the statistic of homos being better parents. Statistically thats true, simply because statistically ANYBODY straight person can become a parent which drags down the statistic for them. Homo couples generally adopt, and its rare and very hard for them to do so in much states, so that bottom of the barrel gay generally isn't allowed to have/keep a child.
