Well if there wern't breaks your arms would KILL you. I'm guessing/hoping there are serious plot elements here where you spend 80% of your time negotiating/exploring and 20% fighting.
Chances are they won't require you to have a gamecube controller (or any accessories that aren't included) in order to play the game.
Its looking very likly they will include atleast one "classic" controller with the console. But for many games the GC controller might be better. Am i the only one who LOVES button layout for the GC controller?
Umm no, the original programmer turns around and sells thousands of copies. Jsut saying that if a game like halo takes millions to be developed and sells for 50-60 bucks why I am paying 20 for a game that took 1/100th of that. Either way I'm just saying for a casual game (like tetris) one would expect to pay $5 or $10 bucks but to me $20 bucks is just too much.
But thats me, obviously people are buying or else it would be priced lower.
BTW? I got marked troll for giving me opinion on casual game pricing?? Seriously????
Thats not really true, casual gaming brings in a lot of money. My wife recently fell in love with the demo for Bejeweled 2. But its $19.99. WTF? A game that I could program myself in a few weeks is $19.99 (Yes you could make the silly argument about I should then, but 19.99 isn't worth weeks of my time, it might be if I could sell the game, but its copyrighted.. Almost makes one want to pirate it.)
Hold on there!! The original argument in the article was the OpenDocument was BAD because MS Word has disabled access and OpenDocument readers don't. I stated that MS Word WAS a OpenDocument reader. Thus nulling the original argument.
If your changing the argument to be that Open Source software is bad because it generally doesn't support disabled access, I would partially agree that yes, Open Source software should improve in this way, but should we just stop all development untill disabled access can be complete? Word didn't do this..
So if your argument that its simply unfair that handicapped people have to spent more. Yes, I agree the world is unfair.. Either way that wasn't the original argument.
Didn't we just read the other day about a plugin to make MS Word open OpenDocument. Once MS Word can open the documents shouldn't you then be able to preform all of the other functions..
but thinking about how I come home from a long day at work followed by a few hours at the gym, slump down and snuggle into my couch with a cool drink at arms reach and play for hours using little more then my thumbs and first finger, the idea of having to sit up or stand and waving my arms in the air doesn't seem all that appetizing past impressing people when I hold parties.
Luckily the old GC controllers will plug in as well. Hopefully most game developers will provide support for both, but that is yet to be seen.
Hmm you may be on to something here. Previously gamers tried to move their hands around to control games. Nintendo answered this call. Now Wii users will be making funny sounds.. Voice activiated controls? (No not words like Go and stop, but things like VROOOOM and SCREEECH)/If you don't realize I'm joking here, please find another thread.
but the worst thing that could happen to it is all this publicity.
To me publicity will never destroy the game. What could destroy the game is the publicity causing EA to dictate changes in design. Scary Scary thought.
I've seen a lot of hints that the final game will include quest/missions that you can choose to complete. Of course when your already a god what reward will you get? I have seen a buy mode where you can buy others creations so maybe virtual money (though being single player it will be worthless like sims 1 money) will be the reward. With the right quest/rewards model it can stay addictive like other online games.
If civilization has deteriorated to the point that the future critters no longer have the technology to detect the danger Thats why I'm not worried about this. This stuff is going to be buried VERY deep, so in effect any civilization advanced enough to dig it up should be advanced enough to know whats in it, especially if you put basic atomic symbols and math on it.
You arn't serious are you? Computers have been replacing people for decades now. We are moving to a information economy now. Get with it. Little known fact, more money is comming into America in onshoring (my own word) than offshoring of jobs. While there are many physical jobs going overseas, those companies overseas are paying Americans to be lawyers, architects, consultants, etc.
Rates are different in every city. But for example in Chapel Hill http://www.zipcar.com/unc/check-rates It is a yearly fee of just $20 and you get a $20 credit (good for a month) when you first sign up. They do provide a RFID card so there is some cost for them in your becoming a member as well. The cost is only $5 per hour and $55 per day (based on the faq they really mean OR $55 a day, but I digress)
Apparently large plant electric power generation is so much more efficient that even after the loss in power in the lines and battery you are still using a lot less oil (or coal or whatever) than you would be running a regular car. Also a gas powered generator in your electric car is more efficient than our current hybrids, but for some reason the automakers arn't interested.
Yes I could provide links to prove this, but that would make life a lot less interesting:)
If you had bothered to read, yes they are closing servers but no this won't be happening.
Apparently a server can handle up to 40 realms so entire realms will be copied in whole from one server to another. Its more of a consolidation issue. Sure theoretically if they lost a lot of player they might want to close up some realms if they become underpopulated. But people would leave unpopulated realms pretty much voluntarily.
Ok, YOU try holding your arm up infront of you with no support for more than 10 minutes.
Well if there wern't breaks your arms would KILL you. I'm guessing/hoping there are serious plot elements here where you spend 80% of your time negotiating/exploring and 20% fighting.
coutrie? wtf is a coutrie..
I'm guessing their fear is that entire cities or coutries may block .xxx

You can also design your war machines..

1. 3rd party add-ons for the Wii controller. Lets get an idea of what developers are doing and show us that they're serious about supporting the Wii.
Tomorrow.
2. Give us a glimpse at how the older NES, SNES, Genesis, etc games will be played (the Wii controller flat-out lacks the proper number of buttons).
Tomorrow
3. Wheres the multiplayer? Yes there was that tennis multiplayer match near the end but it seems like they didn't talk about it much overall.
Tomorrow
4. Three words : Super Smash Bros. Where was it?
Tomorrow
5. Less pre-made pre-arranged (gameplay?) videos, more on-stage demonstrations. (We don't want another 'was the Killzone video real time?' debate.)
Did I say tommorrow? I think I did.
Didn't we just read the other day about a plugin to make MS Word open OpenDocument. Once MS Word can open the documents shouldn't you then be able to preform all of the other functions..
Case closed.
Sounds like you saw it. Any links to videos. I can't find any, even the E3TV doesn't have it yet. :(

Use a period to end a rhetorical question.
Don't you see the handwritting on the walls. The evil big brother wants to be the only one invading out privacy!! But, but clinton..
HAHAHAA
