Possibly, but remember Nintendo is a Japanese company. Their previous consoles and handhelds were released in Japan first, Japan and America may be released at the same time, but I seriously doupt it would be released last. I get your point though.

Not nessesarily though I definatly think a new protocol instead of http needs to be looked at. But there is no reason to use another client (besides the obvious need to upgrade said client to support this new protocol). There would be a push to use something similar to x-window protocol, but this is major overkill and would be much harder to secure (serverwise) than what we have now. I guess the crux is, do you want a general computing network application protocol (aka x-win) or individual website that are designed for very specific functionality. I think the second is really preferable.

No, its more of an issue of supply and demand. Say the factories can only pump out 6 million consoles by launch date. They can sell it in one country and meet demand or they can go for a worldwide launch and totally piss off many people that can't buy one. Kinda like what happend to the 360 when it took months for supply to catch up with demand. Game translation is an issue though, but its small one. More of an issue is the supply part. As well as having to deal with retailers across the globe, as well as having support lines avaiable with speakers of all the languages you intend to ship to.

From what I understand only the second run theators pay a license fee. For the first runs the studio sets the ticket price and the movie theator only gets what they charge over that price. Either way its way too high. But eventually the economics of having to compete with HD home systems will lower ticket prices (or atleast stall their inflation)

In all seriousness though most games would sell very few copies at $60 but Zelda would easily sell almost as many as it would sell at $30.

AMD/Intel multicore you pay for every 2 cores you have. Either way they would have to sit down and devise a per processor license for you.
