To even have this discussion shows you don't know what a virus is. Effectivly a virus is a set of genetic programming code floating inside whats basically a floating syringe. Some do have mechanical like parts on the outside to help them attach and insert their code. They are much like computer viruses. When simply a file they have no life whatsoever. Thought once viruses enter a cell you would definatly consider the new cell that has the viruses code a lifeform, weither this new cell is a "virus" or not is another question, but it is a virus producing factory..
DAT -> killed, basically because of the recording industry and SCMS
DCC -> not sure why that was killed. AFAIK, it did not have SCMS. I believe it was not that good of a format. Less than CD quality if I remember correctly
DVD-Audio -> don't know what the problem here is. I would love to get DVD-A in my car. CD+ quality with hours of content? I would love that.
All four of the previous have one very important thing in common. You never saw any of them in walmart (or kmart of whatever the equivalent was at the time)
MiniDisc did well for a little while, but it was really a story of too little too late. They were nice but nothing earth shattering, and MP3s were just comming out. Beta fought well, but died from the porn issue as most know. And laserdisc were just too expensive for the average consumer, but did very well among the people who could afford one.
Yes, you click on a word in the index, and it takes you to the spot in the book it references. About the only problem I have with safari is it doesn't include the CDROMs. Though it does make an effort in almost all its books to link any freely available downloads that would be on the CDROM.
If you havn't tried out Safari.Oreilly.com you really should. 10-20 bucks a month gets you online access to all the Oreilly and Microsoft manuals you need (ok not all, but a good number)
I'm sure there was a time when the average person thought the same thing of TV. And yes, there are still people who don't watch TV, but it doesn't mean the TV watches are antisocial bums... Well maybe they are..
And then you'd have players play police and jailers. You could then see this as a way to model real life attempts at stopping crime. Untill of couse its realized that jailed playrs simply quit playing or buy another character from some asian farmer (effectivly buying their way out of jail).. Oh yea.. guess it is like real life.
But this device, apparently, isn't entirely consistent with General Relativity either. Nor does it generate gravity - it apparently creates a force that relates to gravity in the same way magnetism relates to electricity. I can't understand that.
Think about using gravitrons in replace of electrons. Assuming gravitrons even exist, here is how it goes. Gravitrons flow through spacetime in much the same way as electrons flow through space. One can create a magnetic field that attracks electrons. It is believed you can great a gravmegnetic field that would attract gravitrons. You might not be able to capture and manipulate gravitrons in the same way that you can manipulate electrons, but if you could even bend the path of gravitrons you could do awesome things.
If you had read the link they are revering to hillfigures attempt getting a website up so he can sell his clothes directly. Apparently he wasted a year with some obviously very bad techs trying to make it work in linux. Microsoft swooshed (is that a word??) in and got him going in short order.. Reallly?? A professional team can get a website up in a just a few months. Someone really needs to bitchslap whoever hired idiots who couldn't get a website up in a years time on Linux.
don't have the time.. Sorry geez.. read between the lines. Though technically what I mean is I don't have the time to handle hardware problems, especially the shipping of bad parts for replacements. Much easier to call Dell, as we get a repair person who comes here the next morning and fixes it on the spot.
Well it is a beta IE7 after all. Either way Vista will have IE seperated from the OS. The version of IE7 for XP will still be incorperated with the OS. So realistically IE7 for XP and IE7 for Vista will be very different browsers as far as security goes, and one can not assume a security hole for XP with exist (or matter) in the Vista version.
Why would you pay for an ipod when you can build your own MP3 player with a altoids can and some electronics parts. Geez Doesn't sounds like a a great buisness plan to me.
Thats really not a fair comparison I know. But people will pay a premium for a preconfigured system with good support. Hell I quit building my own machines are work because I just have the time to support them, and just order from dell (work for a university grant, so dell sees us as the university which means we get top tier support)
Exactly, my cellphone is to keep with in touch of emergencies.. You have a flat tire? Call me. Printers not working? Either wait till I get in the office or leave a txtmsg. People tend to userstand this and respect it. Whats really strange is not so much the people who get called a lot by while they are at social functions are the people who are constantly calling others. Its akin to the I'm bored of this, I'm stepping off to the bar.. So why are you still here?? If you don't want to be here.. Leave..
Interesting... Taken in a stickly litteral sence all people in the executive branch are essentially advisors of the President, and he doesn't HAVE to listen to any of them. Though the EPA example is a good one, as congress can pass laws requiring certain EPA regulations but can't enforce them through the courts as all departments for enforcement have to be under the Executive branch, its a loophole you can drive a truck through.. Sounds like you almost need an amendment to fix the problem of congress having no enforcement powers. In the stickly legal sense as the constitution stands now though, it sounds as if yes, you can't force the President to prosecute himself..
Does that mean that the President runs the executive branch?? Because I believe yes, according to the constitution he does. Lucikly we have 2 other branches to balance things out. Personally I away thought the executive branch should be a committee, but thats just my opinion.. It doesn't make it constitiutionally correct.
But did you understand it at all after writing it all down. Best would have been to understand it, possibly write down the basic equation. And then while its still fresh in your mind attempt to solve a problem.. Many good professors will even do a few practice problems at the end... see if you solve them first..
Yes, I'd agree that most Bush appointes are neocons, especially that crazy women he tried to put on the supreme courty. But I've seen nothing to indicate that the last two supreme court judges are neocons besides the instant label that anything Bush touches gets.
Your right and he is right. Though on a how many classic republicans are on the bench scale I'd say there are maybe 5 now.. at best before the most recent 2 there were only really 3.
With a careful configuration of Windows (no page file, no IE cache, no temporary files, use a RAM disk), this is certainly viable. In the absense of music/movie collections and monster games, even the 32GB size isn't that restrictive. Something like this will most likly be used to store the OS and main programs essentially being a read only drive, while a second drive can be used to store data and temporary files. I really don't see the advantage here unless the flash memory is much faster though from my experience its slower, I guess they are using a new technology??
Well duh.. I read on the lightning page that it has contact integration and I was just wondering if there was any place I could test this. Obviously its not working. Though I'm glad as hell they finally got a thunderbird version because a standalone calendar without email is just plain useless.

What an amazing GUI, so I squeeze the left.... Oh nevermind...

Hu? Didn't Warcraft Adventures get turned into World of Warcraft?

What I thought when I read this article..
Yap Yap Yap.. Oh that GDC, let me check the website.. WOW
Tomorrow Will Wright will be discussing Spore.. Yap Yap Yap..
Who else thought this same thing??
On the other hand, congress still can empeach a president for breaking the law...

I've got way better things to do with my time than pay somebody for the ability to grind. Except a good call girl of course!

Am I missing something, I can't add attendees to events. Isn't that the whole point of contact integration.. where else can you use contacts?
