Dammit... Its been two months wait for DSL and I'm right across the streen from PacBell! I should just run Ethernet across the streen and plug into an MAU. -- _|_
I have never understood why no one has developed a game OS. A game company could put a boot loader on a CD and the end user could put the cd in and boot from it and play the game. This could be done with GNU/Linux. If someone made a distro of Linux that was for games only. For years I have not understood why this has not happened yet. I though of this back in 91/92.
I'm waiting for GUI Mutt.. A Mutt that can show html mail and inline graphics. That would just rool. I dont even need a menubar and all that. Hot keys are fine.
My wife had a Rio, until it broke.. Only took a month to bust it. I think that I'd like to build one that wont get smashed so easy. I'm down with getting this kit and building it into a rubber type case. Skateboarding is bad for audio devices.
If I'm going to let you on my system, its going to be by my rules alone. If you don't like it, then go somewhere else or build your own system. What are you thinking?
Looks like the Linux world is starting to wake up the MS giant. We kicked their ass then they fixed stuff. All then have to do now is fix the crashes and their OS may survive. If it stops crashing and starts working then it will go somewhere. I will still use linux though.... More configurable.

We should all get together in one place like Navada, and start our own geek society. Our own geek town/city. We could control the internet. We could kick out MS. We could be the world leader in technology.
Or, we could just have cool stuff to play with. (dont forget to import chicks)

Its all about the Caldera Open Linux 2.2 install. I installed it the other day, and wow. You can even play Tetris while its installing. The install is multi-tasking. Its fast, easy. KDE wm with a few themes.
I love the install, and it works good, but there is a lot of things that are not there. I think I like Debian the best right now.
I DID ZERO-CLICK JUST DAYS BEFORE THIS DAM STORY CAME OUT.
Is someone trying to steel it out from under me? Zero-Click Shopping!

Lets all just buy Apple! Linux runs on it. Linux could run better on it.

Anyone else notice that the http://slashdot.org/slashdot.xml file it different? The hostname is missing on the URL entries.
