    I have played online poker for about a year know. I have assumed I have played against bots on various occasions. I train against bots: http://games.cs.ualberta.ca/webgames/poker/

    Like any software, they are only as good as the person who programmed them.

    There is still one thing - The bots can't change the cards that are out on the table. I am fairly confident that the bots can outplay 60-70% of the people online, but they bots can not beat you unless it has the cards to do so!

    Playing online poker is strictly a numbers game. With the human element removed, your left to make your decisions based on the cards as they are.

    The copyright ownership depends on what the signed contract says. The photographer I have worked has done both. When he is hired to shot sporting events for different publications, he retains the copyright. When he is working for corporate America for PR purposes, the company usally will ask to retain copyrights.

    To help me unwind, I find the field of automotive mechanics to be soothing.

    There is nothing better than a air ratchet in your hands.

    My brother races a Spec Miata, so I keep my self busy building, fixing, and maintaning his car. Most of my friends drag race. I have worked on many of their cars too. (700+ HP supra, a spraying 350Z, numberous others).

    I have become damn good at designing electrical systems for accessory items (nitrous, 2step, traction control, etc).

    I have installed almost 10 LinkSys cable routers this semester for people. These were the 1st "routers" I installed since @home was broken up. The new guys are logining the the MAC address of the machine which signs up for the internet(ie 1st one to set up attached to modem). If the MAC changes, you get dumped to a screen stating your trying to use an unathorized computer on their network. Well, thank LinkSys for letting us change the MAC address on the router. Changed the bad boy to the MAC of the local PC, and BOOM! instant Internet connection sharing!

    I was just wondering how this will affect other Napster style applications.
    gn(u|o)tella is still going strong, although it seems to be covered with spam.
    scour is bankrupt.
    freenet is still going stong.
    and many claim irc is still a good place for mp3.
    yet others live and die my usenet.

    This seems like it is a win/win for napster. They are able to make some money out of their partnership, and the lawsuit against them will be dropped. Now I wonder if this is an exclusive agrement or not.

    I started to use jabber the other day. I was amazed on how much it had grown since I the first time i tried it a couple months ago.
    It is wonderful for all those fools(like me) who have multile chat account (aim, icq, yahoo, msn, etc).

    Try it out. You might like it!
