  1. Nintendo Vs. Sony on Nintendo Announces Gamecube Launch Numbers · · Score: 1

I'd have to say that I love the playstation. But it costs too much. If the Nintendo is going to cost as much as the PS2, i'm sure as hell not getting it either.

    BTW, gt3 rules

  2. Money on A.I. and the Future · · Score: 2

I'll make this short and simple. If it makes money, It'll happen. If it doesn't, It won't happen *for long*

  3. X-box on Squaresoft To Go Multiplatform · · Score: 1

Ok, the ps2 is great. But, the X-box will be better. It doesn't matter who's making it, it just has to be cheaper than anything else and have good games to hype kids into buying it. It's how the market works. Remember how atari had the Jaguar? It was awesome, destroyed the Nintendo, but too expensive. The same thing happened with the Neo-Geo, too expensive.
If the X-box is the same cost as everything else, has the *same games*, but looks better graphically (plus has a "kooler" sounding name) it'll probably win. If it's 20 buck cheaper, it'll destroy the market. My money's on the X-box no matter who makes it. Survival of the fittest I guess...

  6. Gasoline on GM Investing in Fuel Cells · · Score: 3

If this can be done with gasoline this will probably work. All those gas stations have to do something. But... I was thinking about this a couple days ago. Imagine how much money Texaco is worth in land value. Every gas station you see is in prime location.

  7. NEW?! on A Search Engine For Corporate Desktops · · Score: 2

It's called Windows and a Bad admin. This is implemented in plenty of places... :)

  8. bird... on Stealth Aircraft Useless? · · Score: 2

I like how in the Air Forces' new ad campain they talk about a plane that is the size of a bird on a radar.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, but lets say i'm a radar guy, and I know the U.S. *may* be heading my direction. Now, lets say I see a bird going !MACH 2!. That would make perfect sense wouldn't it?

I'm willing to guess these planes weren't too stealthy anyway.

  9. Shoutcast on Thomson Announces Royalties For MP3 Streaming · · Score: 2

So what does this mean for shoutcast? The guys at nullsoft who did winamp and shoutcast should make their own napster like program that doesn't have a central server. That would totally screw over those music industries guys.
    oh yea, Gnutella :)

  10. Privacy. on TiVo Upgrade Isn't · · Score: 1

This is great... From the first story the guy is obviously angry that Tivo can get his information:

"they download all sorts of information, like what you watch, how long you watch it, even the buttons you press on the remote and the amount of time between each button press!..."

Then he follows this up with:

"I will be posting a log file that was saved on the TiVo to be sent to them over the phone line. Check back soon... "

The only way a media company can win is if their product is cheaper. Remember Beta? It costed more. VHS = crappier, but CHEAP. So it sold. This is same with this example.

    But... I could be wrong.

  13. The Future on Sega and Sony to Link Game Consoles Via Internet · · Score: 4

Systems are going to be so kool in the future that noone will ever leave their homes. My kids will be obese and always playing video games. They'll have no social lives and never go outside.
