1. File a patent for a method of using a patent to screw others. To license the technology, you must pay 50% of all royalties, lawsuit winnings, and collected fees from your patent to me. 2. File a patent for a method of filing a patent. The license fee is 50% of all profits you ever make.
Hell no they're not going to refund any money. It's not their fault you don't have anything to play it on any more. Besides, you can always install RealPlayer on your home computer.
It's probably going to be a while before federal laws come into play. It's going to take massive public outcry before congress does anything.
In one party you have people that are being paid by corporations and marketing lobbies and are proud of it. In the other party you have people that say 'we hate big business' and 'we don't like rich people' while whispering to the same corporations and marketing lobbies 'slip the cash under the table in an unmarked envelope'
And even if congress does get its act together, probably half the spam I get is from outside the U.S. Instead of hunting for Bin Laden and deposing Sadam, maybe they should put all the effort into hunting down spammers and forcing ISPs to cut off home users that are infected with worms, trojans, and viruses.
The question that's gotta be asked... Did this start out as an experiment or was it students playing with a graphics program?
4 days until the research paper is due: Student1: Crap dude, we're going to fail unless we start our paper and an experiment! Student2: Hey, let's use this mpeg of Bush and Marilyn Monroe morphing and see what happens when people watch it.
Putting their unix under GPL or another open source license would probably work in IBM's favor. IBM is almost nothing but a services company already. If they were to put it under some type of open source license, they could have loads of people improving their software and fixing their bugs for free and all they do is coordinate the patch additions, sit back, collect the support fees and answer the phones.
And I don't care what people say...AIX is NOT unix, at least not any normal type of unix.
This may be HP's biggest mistake so far. When they merged, they said they'll keep the best from both companies. Apperently, that means they'll keep all the HP stuff and none of the good Compaq stuff(enterprise support, excellent OS,...). I've worked with both AdvFS and Vxfs. Personally, I prefer advfs. The administration is so much easier. If you need more space..addvol . If you need to take the disk back and re-assign it some where else, rmvol. With vxfs, adding space is easy. You add a disk to the volume group and then add more space to the volume, and then expand the filesystem. If you want to remove the disk to reassign it, you first have to shrink the filesystem, remove the disk from the volume, and then remove it from the volume group. When you get around to removing the disk from the volume, it always has the same warning message so you don't really know if you shrunk the filesystem enough to safely remove the disk. Recovery from a failed domain is also much easier with advfs than from a dead vxfs volume group.
Competition is good, but the FCC has shown that once it starts adding regulations, they don't know when to stop. Then again, maybe they can get an 'Internet driver's license' regulation passed. Now we can't mix in someone elses music into our own?
They're not actually selling the linux, they're selling the year or so of priority enterprise class support.
They all sell support. Can't really sell the linux and OSS programs, but you can make a killing from support fees

Any pictures included?
I'd like to run a model on her and show her I'm a standard deviation.
Looks like another test for the Mythbusters.

So I'm going to have to carry a WiFi CF card, a bluetooth CF card and now a ZigBee CF card?!?
Why should this replace bluetooth?

Corperations AND the entertainment industry telling you what you can and can't do.
