And last election, anyone with a D next to their name got in. This election, those Ds that aren't actually Ds have had primary challenges they're going to lose, and get replaced with real D.

What a simpleminded, biased, and totally incorrect worldview.

Those "not a real D's", what some are calling Blue Dog Democrats won their office because they were, in your words, "not real D's" Somehow, you'll have to come to grips with the fact that in many places in the country, Democrats are a distant second choice.

And of course, your claim that "anyone with a D next to their name got in" is silly tending toward stupid. If it was true, the house would be 100% "D"

So, keeping agriculture advances or not, billions of cavemen starve to death and you no longer have six billion.

A "gravity powered clock" uses the weights as mechanical energy to power the timing mechanism, the same as a wound spring. This light is converting it to electricity due to the lack of a flywheel light source. So basically to answer your question, the new part is converting the power into an electrical source. Without that, the number of uses for such a gravity/weight system to do useful things is limited.

There is one single distinguishing characteristic between a Blue Dog Democrat and a Centrist (non religious) Republican: One has a D in front of their state, and the other has a R. They're all anti-gun restrictions, all pro-abortion in limited quantities, and like every other politician on the planet more interested in who funds them than who votes for them.
