Unless you can set a recursive PATH, I don't think it would be viable to split things into their own directories... Could you imagine how long (and how slow) it would be to have 20, 40, 60 directories or more listed in your PATH?
With package management software, who cares if it's all in one place? That's fine with me...
Besides, anything *I* add to the system, depending, usually ends up in/usr/local - which is a further distinction.

There's a lot of concern with battery chemicals leaking out and contaminating... Whatever. I'd be especially worried about leaking methanol, which is much more flowing than a paste or gel often found in typical batteries. Not only that, but seals could fail or you could overfill them, etc. and you'd end up with this stuff running around your laptop.
Besides, don't fuel cells create a lot of heat?
The benefit is you get lots of drinking water and fresh air while using your laptop!:-D
Not to be a flamer here, but quite honestly... I'll pass on the "Xbox," thanks.
If I wanted a PC, I would've bought one. I'd rather have the Playstation, which plays both the new AND old games, DVDs and CDs. It looks cooler, to boot.
Microsoft sure is spending a LOT of money on advertising though. I keep seeing Xbox commercials (or rather games FOR the Xbox). Judging by the pictures though, I still think the PS2 blows it away.
See how Apple treats it's userbase and uses the DMCA to muscle the little guy...
Check it out in, "How to Convert a MacOS X 10.1 Update into an Install CD"
D'ohhhh!
Everything Mac has posted some very clear instructions on how to do this!
Check it out - very easy to follow.
Would that be the Delta or Gamma quadrant? ;)
I don't think giving it another piece would help this any.... :D
Look out, here comes "ask.us!"
long.live.the.us
you.missed.the.b.us
time.to.disc.us/s
come.to.us
visit.us
screw.us
i.hate.the.us
Okay, that's enough...
You can see what this thing looks like and get some more details here on Philip' site.

Be sure to check out the low cost alternative to the recently announced iPod, known as the "iPod LC." :-D
"We had my Aunt Val's memorial service yesterday..."
Sorry... Just wanted to say "Jalalabad!" :-D
Let's hope for a speedy conclusion in Afghanistan too, and a little more "world peace" wouldn't hurt, either.
My two front teeth...
My two front teeth...
Hey, don't blame me, that's the song. :-D
I think the Apple iPod will totally kick ass this holiday season...
With a fuel cell, I guess Apple's problem of self-igniting PowerBooks should be REAL interesting soon...

How fast do you think that wireless connection is really gonna be?
I'd rather have better components and a cheaper price. Not crappy stuff jammed together, compromising other components and a higher price.
It might be a neat gadget for "all in one" but it's always going to be a compromise. Especially since things change so rapidly in technology.
I'll leave this one alone, just like the digital camera slash MP3 player... :-/
My Wintel box is an aging dual Pentium "Classic" 166MHz. I haven't booted it in about two years.
The Xbox is the only console out there without networking. What's up with that?!

Now only available for the PC! Well, at least right now, hopefully. :(
