Based on what I've observed with the RIAA, nope, your 100 legally purchased songs would mean squat, even if you only have one measly pirated song if they come prosecuting your ass.
Though... the numbers would be valuable to them to conjure up those screwed over statistics of theirs. Not to mention some purrty, colorful pie-graphs for lobbying.
You spend 12 hours a day on your PC, read abuse complaints as a living, and *complain* about people who complain (although it was actually your job), and you're telling us to get a life?
Being open source, who could even restrict it's usage? Well, we can bitch all we want if open-source is used for "controversial" issues, but that just says that open source is not that open at all. So do we start putting in "fine print (tm)" with the GPL licensing?
Worse case scenario in history. What do you think Einstein went through when other people expounded on his work and eventually created the nuclear bomb? He didn't like it one bit but there you go...
it disrupts GPS dependent transportation? Sure, it would be a good laugh if your buddy misses the airfield by a mile but not so when he misses the airfield and smacks into the nearby forest. And I'm thinking it won't be long till a $50 device for spoofing, not just jamming, fake GPS signals. How responsible are we for the things we create?

and several sweaty men pour out of the SAAB to change it... not an exactly common sight
something the RIAA could use to locate "pirate sites" and then send some guys to rough up the place... They would of course call it "Market Demographics Analysis."
Does this mean that Anime is becoming a nerd preoccupation? I mean, I'm nerdy, and I watch anime, but that's just me. Probably not for the rest of the nerds out there. Or was there a policy change in/. a lot of people didn't know about?
I had a friend who was hired by the local church to look for "bad sites" and compile a list for site blocking software. He gets to surf for porn, gets paid to do it, and with the blessings of the church! Some guys are just plain lucky...
The story on the IDC report cites employees, IT training and outsourced support as the main resource drainers for Linux systems. I'm just wondering why the report gave no mention of productivity losses due to unreliable software? For mission-critical companies, a system crash could make the 11 to 22 percent savings moot in a flash.

if internet use is any indicator on how the telecom systems are used, the list would be:
50% about sex
30% spam (or telemarketing)
29% adolescent mush
1% calls to a data recovery shrink
