    I remember seeing that on the F3 north of Sydney, back in the 80s.

    They're put the aerial speed check signs and road markings back now, but I don't think they actually do any flying. The 'aerial speed check' location just happens to be right next to Warervale Airport - so motorists see a cessna coming in to land, and slow down.

    I have a whole bunch of /64's in my /48. The problem is they keep changing every time pppoe reconnects.

    Yesterday I had 2406:e000:e26c/48, today I have 2406:e000:e317::/48

    I'm guessing you use Internode? I used them when I lived in Sydney, theyr'e great.

    And they've decided that everybody gets a static /56 now.

    But it doesn't keep ISP's from moving to permanent, static IP addresses.

    I wish my ISP could offer me static IPv6, but they currently can't do it!. Right now I have a dynamic /48....

    It isn't just their cheap stuff. One of my Cisco 877s started randomly rebooting.

    The two large caps on the board were faulty, so I replaced them and now it works perfectly.

    virtualisation often has issues with timekeeping. I wouldn't run an NTP server on a VPS.

    Sydney Harbour doesn't get earthquakes. Solid standstone a long way from the edge of the plate.

    But yeah, this new cable is only about 100m from the bridge, and a couple of hundred metres from the tunnel.

    The Appliance has a bunch of limitations (like not working with View Composer, etc).

    It also isn't available anymore. There was a 5.0 version, however with the release of 5.0U1, there is only the Windows version - "vCenter Server Appliance 5.0 Update 1 will be available later this year." Link

    DSL is distance limited, dumbass. 15,000 feet from the CO is theoretically possible, but will suck eggs.

    I have a DSL service 20,000 feet from the CO. It syncs at 6 megabit/sec.

    Last time i flew SYD-LAX (2006), there was another screening just before the gate, only for the USA flights. Full pat-down search and bag inspections for everybody.

    Stennis did a lot for the Navy as a Senator.

    I have a Cisco 877 at home running native IPv6, using the Advanced IP IOS image.

    I installed a new 877 this week for a client, and was surprised that the Advanced Security IOS image lacks IPv6 support.

    You have to pay extra for IPv6 at cisco. pathetic.

    And what with all people using GPS with traffic avoidance build in it.

    Does that actually work? I have a GPS with traffic, and live in Sydney. I'm yet to see the traffic avoidance actually work. It tells me there's traffic up ahead, when there isn't. It tells me there's no traffic when there's a crash up ahead.

    So yeah, it gets it backwards. The name of the traffic info provider is SUNA Traffic. Guess what SUNA backwards is...

    True, but most XP clients won't need DHCP6.

    Address assignment can be handled by RA. Sure, you lack the ability to assign v6 DNS servers, but XP doesn't do v6 DNS anyway.

    The one place I do use DHCPv6 is obtaining my /60 prefix from my ISP. You'd need Dibbler for that if you were crazy enough to run XP on your router :)
