    Who do you suggest pays for the bandwidth that these demonstations use? It could easly cost the target of the 'protests' 1000's of dollars in bw costs.

    Why is it that every damn time something violent happens at one of these protests it is by 'infiltrators'? Did it every occur to you that there may just be some idiots in this protest movement?

    If the protesters would police themselves and remove the idiots that cause the trouble before they had a chance to act, the police would have a much more difficult job arresting people. Then the protester would not look like violent thugs on the 6:00 News.

    Also, doing some research and planing would help. (Don't have all the leaders in one place so they can be all ID'd and arrested at once. Also, learn map reading skills)

    They suck.

    If you store anything in them for any length of time the auto-defrost cycle will cause ice crystals to melt and reform, getting larger each time. This is not a good thing for correct food storage. Now, if all you are storing is microwaveable meals it should be fine ;->

    It is a hell of a lot easier for (Finland, Denmark, and Tawain) to setup GSM/GPRS because they are small countries! It is rather more expensive to do the same thing in the much larger US.

    Looks to me that Intel had a hand in starting the TCPA.

    Because it is impossible to examine every single pack the moves across there network(s). If they don't examine every packet some on will sue them. If they do examine every packet performance will suffer and it would cost a fortune in hardware/software/people to check each packet.

    This is an election year.

    Making noise is more important than getting rid of child porn. If getting rid of child porn was a high priority instead of an election year issue, our elected officials would pass laws that would not be overturned. But the don't, they pass laws that make anything that contains a person who 'appears' to be under 18 child porn. People sue, it goes to the supreme court and is thrown out.

    Repeat next election cycle.

    I would love to but most/all of them are selective in which rights they support. A

    While I had a job I gave several hundred dollars to the EFF and I planed to give about $500.00 to in October but that money went to 9/11.

    How? Living in Texas requires a A/C unit so that the house is not a danger to health* during the summer. I already use CF and F bulbs thru out most of the house and almost everything else is turned off when not in use, including most wall warts.

    I know I could go out and spend tens of thousands of dollars to retrofit my house with more energy efficent materials, but how would I pay for it and how many years would it take to show any ROI?

    *Quite a few people die each year due to heat during the summer because they don't have/won't run their AC's

    I have some of those bulbs and you know what, the suck unless you have them perfectly upright.
    If you place pointing at the ground they burn out with in 6 or so months. Also if you place them in anything that vibrates, like a fan, they burn out very quickly. I have tried several brands of flourescent bulbs and nothing last very long. Now my GE Revel bulbs work great in the above two applications.
