Who do you suggest pays for the bandwidth that these demonstations use? It could easly cost the target of the 'protests' 1000's of dollars in bw costs.
Why is it that every damn time something violent happens at one of these protests it is by 'infiltrators'? Did it every occur to you that there may just be some idiots in this protest movement?
If the protesters would police themselves and remove the idiots that cause the trouble before they had a chance to act, the police would have a much more difficult job arresting people. Then the protester would not look like violent thugs on the 6:00 News.
Also, doing some research and planing would help. (Don't have all the leaders in one place so they can be all ID'd and arrested at once. Also, learn map reading skills)
If you store anything in them for any length of time the auto-defrost cycle will cause ice crystals to melt and reform, getting larger each time. This is not a good thing for correct food storage. Now, if all you are storing is microwaveable meals it should be fine;->
What about my DTT3500 Digital speakers from Cambridge Soundworks/Creative? They are connected to SB Live via a digital connection, will these new creative drivers cause it to stop working while playing secure content?
It is a hell of a lot easier for (Finland, Denmark, and Tawain) to setup GSM/GPRS because they are small countries! It is rather more expensive to do the same thing in the much larger US.

Looks to me that Intel had a hand in starting the TCPA.
Because it is impossible to examine every single pack the moves across there network(s). If they don't examine every packet some on will sue them. If they do examine every packet performance will suffer and it would cost a fortune in hardware/software/people to check each packet.
Making noise is more important than getting rid of child porn. If getting rid of child porn was a high priority instead of an election year issue, our elected officials would pass laws that would not be overturned. But the don't, they pass laws that make anything that contains a person who 'appears' to be under 18 child porn. People sue, it goes to the supreme court and is thrown out.
No people do not have any more respect for you, they are just afraid that if they say ANYTHING you will have them delayed for a "THROUGH CHECK" and they will miss their flight.
One last question. How may nursing women have you made drink their own breast milk to make sure it is "SAFE"???
How? Living in Texas requires a A/C unit so that the house is not a danger to health* during the summer. I already use CF and F bulbs thru out most of the house and almost everything else is turned off when not in use, including most wall warts.
I know I could go out and spend tens of thousands of dollars to retrofit my house with more energy efficent materials, but how would I pay for it and how many years would it take to show any ROI?
*Quite a few people die each year due to heat during the summer because they don't have/won't run their AC's
Now you know what those who support fission power feel every time the "environmentalists" say something about fission power based on what the tech was in the 1970s and 80s.
I have some of those bulbs and you know what, the suck unless you have them perfectly upright. If you place pointing at the ground they burn out with in 6 or so months. Also if you place them in anything that vibrates, like a fan, they burn out very quickly. I have tried several brands of flourescent bulbs and nothing last very long. Now my GE Revel bulbs work great in the above two applications.
Well there is that little matter of the Mutual Defense Treaty with the USA.
Two hours of you life? Hell, you post on /. so you must not value your time that much. :->

Easy, you give them hotdogs. Lots and lots of hotdogs. That will keep them quite.
They suck.

That dup detection code would do wonders to help slashdot. Any chance that Google will license it to /. ?
Then what do you do when the only way to timeshift is to break copyright protections therefore breaking the DMCA?

Now, if you desire to pay my property taxes this year, I will quit bitching.
