I am not talking about having to pay because of KDE. I am talking about QT saying that if you develope a QT app that is used in business you have to pay them. IOW, Troll Tech seams to say that if you develope an KDE app that use QT for your business (little custom apps and/or in house apps), even if you don't sell said app, you have to buy a QT license because it would be "business use"
That scares away the suits. GNOME/GTK doesn't have that issue.
Why is it that when religion is talked about on/. that it is only the Jewish and Christian religions that are insulted? Why isn't Islam included in the list?

If CmdrTaco had read/followed the damn WoW TOS he would never have had to change his name. Don't blame Blizzard for CmdrTacos inability to follow the rules.
Minor point. If it wasn't for the GOP votes in the Senate large portions of the Civil rights reforms would not have passed because the Democrats fillibustered (sp) the bills.
Yes. In 1969 in Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School District the Supreme Court held that students in public schools - which are run by the government - do not leave their First Amendment rights at the schoolhouse gate. This means that you can express your opinions orally and in writing - in leaflets or on buttons, armbands or T-shirts.
You have a right to express your opinions as long as you do so in a way that doesn't "materially and substantially" disrupt classes or other school activities. If you hold a protest on the school steps and block the entrance to the building, school officials can stop you. They can probably also stop you from using language that they think is "vulgar or indecent," so watch out for the dirty words, OK?
Also, school officials may not censor only one side of a controversy. If they permit an article in the official school paper that says that premarital sex is bad, they may not censor an article that says premarital sex is good.

Tony from Virginia asks: My son is in elementary school, and at school one day he was talking to another student about God. It was during a time where the students were free to talk about anything. His teacher told him that he's not allowed to talk about God in school. We know that's not true, but we were wondering if there's something I can take to the teacher, because we've explained it to her and she still says, "No, he's not allowed to talk about God."
Jay answers: The Supreme Court's decision in the famous Tinker case* said that students possess the rights of freedom of speech. They don't surrender them at the schoolhouse gate. That includes recess time, on the playing field, in the classroom, as long as it's not disruptive to the school environment. And in a case that I had at the Supreme Court of the United States just about a year and a half ago, we won unanimously the rights of mi

I know this. But QT says that you must pay them if you use QT in a for profit manor, which is incorrect.
And the major hangup isn't with Novell having to pay for the QT license, it is with Novell's CUSTOMERS having to pay for a QT license.
Perhaps Novell would not have had to drop KDE if QT didn't cost 2000+ per developer to write for profit software.

Remember that QT says you have to pay them for a QT license if you use QT to make money.

Please note it doesn't say commercial software whose source code you wish to keep private, it simply says commercial software.
When did Novell promise that Suse 10 would be a Windows Killer?
Please show us a link or two to support your position.
Impossible.

You may wish to research exactly what the 'stock market' consists of. It is just A LITTLE more compless than you make it out to be.
That does little good if the person attacking you wishs to kill/rape you.

In most areas of the United States you can be arrested and charged with a sex crime which means you have to register as a 'sex offender'.
Just because it is the law doesn't mean it has to make sense.

Because the tax laws are over 100,000 pages long and rather difficult for those trained in Tax law to understand?
They aren't exactly written from the taxpayer.
And what tests will kill a drive in less than 24 hours? Are you shacking the things to death?
Because a 4GB flash memory stick would cost a little/a lot more.
