    One of these monitors costs the same as 4 of Gateways FPD2185W widescreens. I know that it is a larger monitor, but would not 3-4 rotatable 20 inch wide screens be a better, more useful investment for most people?

    The OP was curious about his house wiring being able to take a 1kw draw. Any in code wiring will be able to take a draw of that level. Besides the cost of said electricy wasn't even mentioned in the OP. :)

    Most hair dryers draw 1200 - 1600 watts so you don't have much, if anything, to worry about.

    A major portion of a stocks price has nothing to do with hard numbers, it has to do with how people feel about the stock and a major could of uncertinity has now been lifted. That is why the stock went up.

    That may have been caused by different lenghts of time delay. not all networks use the same amount of time delay on their live feeds.

    In several states people, in motor vehicles, are stopped at 'random' locations to see if they have been drinking. This involves the use of police road blocks and check every car that wishes to go thru.

    I don't see people in the USA burning the property of others in protest. Why is that?

    The issue is that QT appears to be trying to get more people to pay for QT then is required. Some would say that their methods border on the dishonest.
