"Jay Nelson, whose primary income source for about 5 years included selling goods on eBay" is correct because the "primary income source" was fraud, but ebay fraud wasn't the only method, he also used yahoo auctions.
or does this remind anyone else of a george forman grill? possibly a waffle iron...
they advertise this thing as a media center if all they think people want in a laptop anymore is a DVD/CD player, why not just make and sell them that instead?
This is just another example of big companies trying to throw their weight around. I mean seriously, anybody with business sense would just ask them to remove the items in question instead of burning bridges behind them. What happens now when MS/Corbis *wants* to use Amazon to sell something of theirs? This all seems like a good way to make enemies
there could have been nothing wrong with it in the first place, the mother could have just unplugged the monitor...
or have done a gem like i've had to troubleshoot a couple PCs weren't working at school, so I went over to fix them. I flipped the switches and sure enough, nothing worked. So i crawled underneat the table they were sitting on to check if the were plugged in. Sure enough they were plugged into power strips. Only problem, Power strip A was connected to Power strip B, which was connected to Power stip A. If only...
ooh, i don't use sms so i wasn't aware you could set it differently from the phone. I know on mine that if I get voicemail, it just follows the ring style of whatever the phone is set to
By sending messages like "Can you talk on the phone now?" or "Are you awake?" text messagers spare each other the rude awakening and disruption of a sudden phone call.
Wouldn't it wake them up just as easily from the phone ringing when getting a text message as it would if they just got a phone call in the first place?

i'm pretty sure that they mean that the source or the information was "not credible", not the target itself would be a non-credible target. as in, it was a "well, i heard that she said that her cousin's best friend from two state's over heard..."
i'm not positive if it's the same alcohol as this, but a lot of race cars are using alcohol engines. my cousin was driving a stock car and his used it.
i imagine that the major gas companies wouldn't be too happy w/ cars switching over, so they probably have a hand in the delay
oh really? i hadn't noticed that it was still there...
i know it's more secure, nowhere in my comment did i say that *I* use those. granted, i used to back in the day, but once i learned of the security issues (and less global cluttering), i changed.
yeah, i *try* to write any new scripts for any environment by doing if(!is_array($_*){$_*=$HTTP_*_VARS;}
and oh, i know about changing people's minds, ugh...we recently changed from pegasus mail (ick!) to a web based mail. well, the complaints haven't stopped from a certain group of people who just...want...to..stay in the past. here's one of their arguments, "don't give me a bmw when all i need is a ford"
i love php, it's what i program in all the time but this decision on their part baffles me. why would they wait so late in development to remove register_globals as an option that can be turned on. i imagine that many people won't update because of this. and the ones who do may find some scripts not working. it seems that they should have made this decision a while back.
i know you can still use $HTTP_*_VARS w/ it turned off, but scripts that are using $username and $password from forms are going to be screwed, barring a cheap loop at the beginning.
My grandparents had a book "Computers for Dummies" that recommended "rebooting your machine every couple of days."Heh... It was for Windows 98. So yeah, I figure that if it managed to stay up for more than a day, something must have frozen up and it does need a nice reboot.
this looks like something that should be used to frag an opponent. The voice- activated wearable computer allows easy, real-time access to... people...
Microsoft could get some definite respect if they would release source to *something* of theirs. But then it would be one of those "why is someone evil doing something good" things.
Well, I guess according to them, they have with their "contribution" to OpenGL, but I'm sure if they win whatever law suit they put in for, they'll try to hide it as fast as they can.
I definitely agree with you on the someone leaking it. Really, no one has to actually leak it, someone will probably just find out. The thing that has surprised me above all secrets is how code doesn't constantly get leaked out for MS products. They must threaten their engineers with death if they release it.
I just bought a $270 phone that only works on Sprint. I plan on staying with them as long as my phone holds out. =)

(i think it's because there was a blackout or something in that area)
blame osu...
every now and then they like to turn off all of the lights early to "encourage studying"
Ahh, so they do
and I think I see why they're pushing the laptop, about a $1000 reason

ahahaha
and you're too cynical, you insensitive clod!
