Hehe, but if you dev apps on your "underpowered" machine and are satisfied with its performance, then you know the app'll blow away the admin staff with their dual xeon towers with 1gb ram, lol.
Hehe, based on your wording for that discrete structures course, sure sounds like you went to the University of Central Florida! No book but rather a mass of hand-written pages the prof had written and made available at Kinko's. Man that class was intense!
My cable modem service had stopped working, got an automated call last week telling me that I should get another call at the end of this week telling me what's up.
I then signed up for a temporary dial-up account with a local ISP. By chance, I decided to try the cable modem, so I used IE's connection wizard. IE then opened a window containing setup information for the "new" AT&T (basically, changed DNS from specific servers to automatically find the DNS servers), and I now have my cable modem working again! I honestly didn't realize how painfully slow dial-up was until forced to use it!!

Lol, why do you sound surprised? Ever notice the borgified icon of Bill Gates? That should tell you right up front what to expect here. Not saying it's bad or good, just that this is the way it is. If you don't like it, then find a site that is more neutral, or if you choose, one that is more pro-MS.
1. Paint Can Mortar. Take a can of your favorite brand of paint and drop it into the mortar. It launches it up to a mile away. Of course, the can hitting an opponent can leave a mark, but you KNOW you hit him.
2. Paint Flame Thrower. Fill a tank with paint of your choice. Feed the paint into a high pressure washer. You get the idea. Just regulate the stream so that you don't cut someone in half.
3. Paint Throwing Stars. Dip a paint brush into a can of paint and fling it at someone. Fast, effective.
4. Paint Booby Traps. Dig a 6 foot deep pit, install sharp stakes at the bottom. Dip the tip of each sharpenned stake into paint (to keep it legal). Very effective.
5. Paint Carpet Bombing. Fly a B-52 over the gaming area and drop 20,000 cans of paint. Sure to make your enemies sit up and take notice.
So you obviously no nothing about BeOS. BeOS to surf the internet?! LOL!!! That's the biggest gripe of BeOS users, no browsers that are worth anything. Try learning about something before spouting off.

BeOS was crushed due to management having the equivalent brainpower of a box of twinkies and not keeping up with the latest hardware developments.
Hopefully, when you tell someone to RTFM, you at least give a hint on which FM they should be reading. Why just give a blanket, scathing response to someone who's at least interested in learning something, when you could add a tiny bit of info of where they can find the info they're looking for? Honestly, with the amount of documentation out there, a little friendly info on where to start looking would be helpfull.
Actually, I have had very few opportunities to work from home, and until I get a larger home with a sound-proof/wife-proof/crying-baby-proof office with a dead bolt, I get more done in less time by doing the actual commute. Sigh.
You'll probably get an option for either a 30-minute duration battery, or a really, really long extension cord.
For the more robust in the crowd, a man-portable generator can be worn on the back (camera zooms from announcers face to a scantily clad model wearing a 20 kilo back pack that's belching diesal exhaust, high heels clicking as she struggles down the catwalk).
Honestly, while you get instant advertising having a game available and already be a success under Windows, you also have most people who have already purchased it for Windows and no desire to buy another copy for Linux.
How about taking a step back and coming up with an original game? You could develop it for simultaneous release with the Windows/MacOS versions and get the best of all worlds, money-wise, while satisfying your need to produce top-notch games for Linux.
Eh, just a thought.
Not quite (though is IS true if you think about it): BeOS has come with dev tools for quite awhile (unless you download the free version, but even then you can download the IDE/compiler for it).

You may be talking about the platform builder, which lets you custom design a version of CE for your specific hardware.

I like mo' better comparisons.
Hehe, I'm expecting the phone call on how to get back online in a few days :-) Glad I "discovered" how to by accident!

Anyone think of others?
Hehe, that was great, thanks for the laugh!
Reminds me of a cartoon I once saw. It shows an infantryman in a nasty jungle, with snakes. The infantryman's saying "Damn, it sucks here."
The next panel shows a Ranger in the same spot. He's saying "Damn, I love the way it sucks here!"
The next panel shows someone from Special Forces in the same spot. He's saying "Damn, I wish it would suck here more!"
The final frame shows a pilot looking down. "Boy, I bet it really sucks down there!!"

Why on Earth would there still be any unpatched IIS servers out there?!?!
I suppose everyone who gets it this time must have recently installed IIS at home... we'll see.
On 9/4 he said in 7 days he was going away never to return. 9/4 + 7 = 9/11.
Apparently Jesus uses either DR-DOS or OS/2.

I believe BeIA does not run under the dragonball processor... actually, it doesn't run under a majority of the currently used PDA processors.

Even though they're progressing slower than some want, I think it's an incredible achievement. Way to go!
OT: Sorry, but one of your nipples appears to be off-center. Just thought you'd want to know.
