  2. Re:BERNARD MOTHERF*CKING BERNOULLI on Censoring Maniac Mansion for the NES · · Score: 1

That show pissed me way the hell off. It had almost nothing to do with the game.

One episode, I was thrilled when TV Guide said that the Edisons get three unexpected visitors in the night.

Turns out the three visitors were the sandman, the tooth fairy, and mister friggin coffee.

  3. Non-ISP email on US Wants Courts to OK Warrantless Email Snooping · · Score: 0, Troll

Does this mean that they wouldn't be allowed to read your email if you are using something like Yahoo or Gmail?

Oh, wait. That's a stupid question. The Bush administration is not allowed to do something only until they decide that they are.

  4. One thing that Narbacular Drop had over Portal on A Peek Through Portal's Walls · · Score: 1

One thing that Narbacular Drop had over Portal was that you could set a portal by aiming through another portal.

Although this might have made the game too easy.

  5. Re:Seriously, on EMI Caught Offering Illegal Downloads · · Score: 2, Insightful

The point was that something should be done, but it's not going to be done by the RIAA. The group should sue EMI themselves.

  6. Re:Seriously, on EMI Caught Offering Illegal Downloads · · Score: 2, Informative

I don't think that you understand. The RIAA isn't a seperate organization from companies like EMI and Sony Music. The RIAA is the big record labels. They invented the name to catch the bad PR so the evil things they do wouldn't reflect badly on the record labels themselves.

  7. Re:How about on US Voting Machines Standards Open To Public · · Score: 4, Insightful

Yes, print the voting receipt, but don't let the person take it with them. They can see it in the machine to verify that was who they voted for, but it stays in the polling place in case a manual recount is needed.

  8. Re:Comcast seems to be fast on Congressman Tells Comcast, Hands Off BitTorrent · · Score: 4, Funny

Yes, we'll all pretend that's what you were really downloading. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more.

  9. Re:So wha happens when... on Terror Watch List Swells to More Than 755,000 · · Score: 1

Since the Bush administration won't be on the list, I have no problem with that whatsoever.

  10. So wha happens when... on Terror Watch List Swells to More Than 755,000 · · Score: 1

So what happens when the entire population of the country is on the list?

Well, except for members of the Bush administration, naturally they are beyond reproach.

  11. Anyone else prefer the old graphics? on Spore About Six Months Away · · Score: 1

I don't know about anyone else, but I like the graphics better back when he first demoed it at the 2005 gdc. The game art just looks too cartoony now.

Hell yeah, I'm still gonna buy it.

  15. Yay for ingenuity! on Microwind Generator For Low Power Systems · · Score: 1

This right here is what science and inventing is all about. Forget how things have been done in the past and come up with something better.

If you think about it, the wind turbine is essentially based on the old windmill design that has been around for centuries. It's reasonable to think that when people people were first thinking of a way to harness wind energy, that was the first thing they thought of for that exact reason.
