but I'm hoping that service-discounted business model will succeed and move to other offerings, so we finally can get affordable no-frills phone and basic service for cheap.
do me a faver and put your money where your mouth is. thats what i did.:)
Or if not illegal, it should have serious repecussions for them as a registrar up to the point of dropping their registrar status.
serious repecussions[sic]: I along with every other slashdotter who RTFS [S=summary] will no longer be using GoDaddy. personally, i'm going to transfer my domains to some other host as soon as i can afford to do it.
And in the case there is content that shouldn't be public on the site, that is a _hosting_ issue not a domain issue.
GoDaddy does hosting as well... are you sure that GD wasn't the host? i don't know either way, i haven't RTFA'd - i'm still knee jerking:P
myspace has just flexed it's muscle to get a website with over 250,000 useful articles knocked off the internet because one article happened to contain user names and passwords. what did they do? rather than doing the right thing and asking Seclists.org to remove the ONE offending article, they went to godaddy and had the entire site pulled.
as a show of disgust over this and many other actions that myspace has displayed, i am going to delete my account on 1/29/2007, and configure my computer to never let me access myspace again. i suggest that you do the same. contact me (nate [at] gotnate.com) if you need help blocking your own access to myspace.:)
e911 mandates that your phone company can pinpoint your phone to within 50 meters. how do they do it? with AGPS. the iPhone probably has neutered GPS in it. just like every other new phone today.

i've found that Quicktime Pro + Flip4Mac + some divx dirivitive does give VLC a run for it's money on my mac mini attached to my TV, particularly from a UI point of view.*
now if i don't have the time to set everything up so that it purrs, i'll throw VLC onto a system.
*i'm sure front row will be just stellar with this setup, but i have a PPC in my mini, so apple said "wait 'till leapard... or install an older version of OS X and patch it." sometimes apple's idiotic policies (.mac, quicktime pro, front row being tied to hardware, etc) make so little sence that i sometimes wonder how meny switchers are getting pissed off and swtiching right back to dell....
There is no taskbar on OSX. The Dock contains information about running tasks, but it is much more, more useful, efficient and nicer to look it. If you call it "copying" that Ferrari builds cars with the same number of wheels as the original Ford, then yes. By any other definition, the Dock is not a copy of the taskbar.
it's better than that! the taskbar is a copy of the NeXT Dock... the progenitor of the OS X Dock:)
The byte is the amount of data you could store on a single coin if you had a code worked out placing it either heads up or heads down. Ones and zero's.

The bit is the amount of data you could store on a single coin if you had a code worked out placing it either heads up or heads down. Ones and zero's. A byte would therefore need 8 coins.
An interesting catch: All these companies depend on IBM. Apple dropped IBM largely because they didn't seem ready or willing to develop and produce mainstream chips on a schedule that suited Apple.
ah, but apple wanted faster iterations of PPCs every 6 months. What they got was a 700 MHz upgrade in 1.8 years, and then the top speed got cut back by 200 MHz to make room for dual core CPUs. Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft all have PPC specs set in stone for the next 5 or 6 years. much more compatible with IBM's slow pace of consumer chip upgrades.
MetroPCS provides me with unlimited local, unlimited domestic long distance, resonable (prepaid) international rates, unlimited texting, and unlimited data. $55/month ($less if you drop some of the above features)
and best of all... NO CONTRACTS! sadly, this means that the phone is not subsidized either (although prepaid phones tend to not be anyway) so you're looking at $300 for a razr.

The only downside is that you need to unlock the levels in single player mode with Rayman (which was kind of a let-down for me, because I had bought it on the way to a friends house to drink & play,)
so download the completed save. thats what i did:P
if you email me the css files you use, i'll buy you a bear! i'll buy the bear for everyone in the house (the bar, not this thread!) if you email me your css files. oh, and don't forget to cc css files.:)
it's even more telling when you add symlink to the mix.
no idea, but according to this Orlando is now it's own state. must have something to do with all the resorts in the area... O_o
and that my friend is why i use MetroPCS
his analogy would have worked better if it was:
send in a squad car vs firebombing the city
bulletin i just posted to myspace:
FFX meets... the lewis & clark expedition... just imagine the boss battle when they get to the mouth of the columbia river... :D
welcome to my foes list.
while it's not notebooks, the statement holds mostly true for quad g5 vs quad xeon:

i fixed it for you:
so we know that 1 second of a 1080i stream is 1920 * 1080 * 24 * 30 bits. that comes out to 1,492,992,000 b/s.
for the raw uncompressed stream that comes to the following:
1,492,992 kb/s (kilobit - bits/1000)
~1,493 mb/s (megabit - kb/1000)
~1.5 gb/s (gigabit - mb/1000)
186,624,000 B/s (Byte - bits/8)
182,250 KiB/s (KibiByte - B/1024)
~178 MiB/s (MebiByte - KiB/1024)
this doesn't even take into account audio (are they still using 16 bit samples 44,440 times a second?)
get your terms right, and the math will follow: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_prefix

or are you running jaguar? if... it's time to upgrade... jaguar -> tiger is like windows 95 -> XP.
i wouldn't say that's the BEST thing... it's cousin (Cannabis) has some pretty good factors as well

thanks for the correction... someone needs to mod the parent up!
if you drop the slow, bloated crap that is now called Adobe Reader, and instead used Preview, you can just hit cmd-f to enter full screen mode.

no they didn't. the Nintendo rumble implimentation doesn't violate the patent that MicroSony violated.
what would you say about a button on a stick on a button?
:D
i claim patent rights!
