UPDATE by HeUnique:Is this emulator a fake? according to these messages in the XBox Hacker web site - this is a fake one. Could someone actually try it?
Read the comments on your own website! Plenty of people have tried it, it is a simple application designed to give a video error message (Unable to initialize display, or something)... to make people think it's just their box. Read the comments above me, and giving a few more minutes, below me as well... A majority of them are people's personal experiences.
Or does it not appear (at least to me) that the banner ad itself has been slashdotted. I can see the article just fine... but the banner just times out.
... but there was just a story up on refridgerators using magnets instead of compressors. I was about to post a comment and got some really weird errors. I looked at the main page and it was gone? Is there a conspiracy going on here? Since when did slashdot start yanking stories altogether, I mean I knew they'd sometimes edit stories or change links... but to erase something that was posted?
Didn't CmdrTaco just say he was going out to visit the family? He is still posting stories! That guy has some serious dedication to this site if he is posting stories while visiting his family.
Not that I'm not grateful, I'm at work bored out of my mind... slashdot is great entertainment at [-1|nested]

Hmm, as I reply from my desk at work... I think to myself "Damn, I DID go to college".
Can't they set up a listening post to at least gather anything that it sends back? I mean, that's an expensive project to only use for 3 years and just toss into space somewhere.
That's what you get when you leave your garbage in orbit! Where'd they think it would go? the moon? Around orbit is just like that place behind your couch where you throw trash, no one sees it but eventually it will become a problem. I dunno what they were thinking.
Software companies have very good lawyers who work out the numbers. When they say that 11 billion was lost due to software piracy, they estimate those numbers by only figuring "how much would we have made if every kid in America had their very own MS Windows Lease?". They use these make believe 'losses' as a tax fraud.. come on? wouldn't you love an $11 billion tax write-off?
What is really sad is most of the software that is pirated is never worth the time it took to download it.
Is there anyway to buy a linux license or cd for this game? one that comes with it's own cd key, it's own pak files & such? I dunno, if you're gonna show your support for linux gaming, you can't really do much by purchasing a windows game. Whether you buy the RTCW for the windows or linux, you still increment that statistic by one.

NEVER EVER EVER send anything by UPS unless you get in insured and 2 day aired or less. If you have ever seen one of their distribution centers, you would be shocked. Imagined miles of conveyer belts going 5 stories up. Boxes on each one... as they roll across, a barcode reader reads the UPC code and an arm will push the box off the conveyer belt to the next level down, depending on it's destination. I saw TV boxes drop 5 stories and onto the ground, the maintenance person just picks it up and throws it back on the belt. They do this for efficiency, but with absolutely no regard to the contents of the packages.
The reason I say 2 day air or less, is because those packages are not as automated... they are taken by actual people from truck to plane to truck to plane. This is probably the only way you can get something shipped intact to it's destination.

I played Halo. I only played the first level. I was not impressed. The graphics were sub-par, for a geforce3 I was expecting a LOT more. It froze for a few seconds every time you walked into a new room to 'load' the remainding part of the map. The enemies were stupid.
On top of all this, how are you supposed to control a FPS with your thumb? FPS games were meant for computers, not consoles. (except goldenye... that game RULED)
I still use an IBM keyboard from 1982 just because I love the feedback. Now, I was only born in 1981 so I never had my start on a typewriter... but the quiet, non responsive feel of most modern keyboards is annoying, I make frequent mistakes, and I can't type as fast... I can type fast as hell on my 12 lb IBM keyboard
I think the general slowdown has to do with the flood of worm traffic. I know that it's calmed down quite a bit, but I think the initial shock caused some backbone routers go into "skip every other packet" mode. I've noticed everything was great until code red hit, all hell broke loose, and things just haven't been the same since.
I guess I misunderstood the article. for some reason I was thinking about those who were tried & convicted. I believe that if it has been proven that you are indeed guilty of committing a crime, you have no rights.
I have always thought that it is immoral to keep those who are awaiting trial detained. Those who who have to withstand the sometimes lengthy trial process suffer for no reason. So please, disregard my parent post.. those who have not been proven guilty DESERVE their rights.
I have no opposition to this at all... because they're PRISONERS. As far as I'm concerned, they have no rights whatsoever. They are the ones that violated OUR rights in one way or another... they're punishment is they're rights stripped from them. Privacy & Liberty... two rights I don't think prisoners should have at all.

First, let's state the obvious. All of these worms made use of security flaws in the systems they attacked, and if there hadn't been security vulnerabilities in Windows®, Linux, and Solaris®
I thought Linux was a registered trademark? Because it's free, does that mean they don't have to recognize their trademark with ® signs they like to toss up all over the place???

In your options you are able to automatically set AC posts to -1, and as long as your threshold is 0 or above, you won't see AC posts anymore.
