Right on Bro!
I've Had RoadRunner since October, have yet to have it come down, except when the power goes out.
I get about 300kbps download, Basically, when I'm downloading a CD or something, its the server, not me, thats going slower.
Actually dude, he's told me his name before when I e-mailed him, granted it was about something totally different, and I just saw his nick in his e-mail sig,
I would tell you, but I deleted the e-mail, sorry
Yeah RighT!!!!!!!!!
Taco's been with Linux since like.99 or something like that, I don't think he would ever switch.
plus..This Exerpt..
" Linux's disorganization, and the fact it seems like a a bunch of unconnected developers tried to write an OS with no
prior planning or agreements has been hard for us at Slashdot who have to work with the Operating System. To the
users, there will be no difference, the upgrade will be seamless. Trish and Jim will be happy and they will stop their
complaining about Linux," he said."
Sure, sounds a lot like Taco, doesn't it?
Yeah,
Hey guys, in Michigan, April 1st is over, Lets stop, K?
The local Big-Lots (Junk Store)Still has like 50 of those stacked in a corner. Its actually pretty funny. They also have some MS Basketball and MS Submarine games, that are both like 50 years old
I've had a server running on a Compaq p75 since October. Its not had a single problem, not a lock-up, never overheated, or notin'
At school I set up a Cad lab of P120 Compaqs, I have yet to see a lock up.
Did they catch these guys and then have them do this, or what?
I mean, if I was a hacker, I sure wouldn't go doing something like a diary, and giving it to these people! Even if it was through a hot-mail account, it'd still be traceable, if they new a HAcker was defiantely using it.
I each computer at my high-school were to run GNU software (ie. 200$ for windows, 300$ for MS-office, etc.) We would have more than enough money to either Buy a palm for each computer in the lab (Bad Idea, you don't want kids my age playing with Palms, they wouldn't last a day).
But what we could use would be Graphing Calculators. I know mine (TI-83plus) has programs on it to interface (plug in to) with all kinds of stuff, from theremomters, to multimeters, then you can graph the information.
I know TI-92s only cost like 150$, so there even cheaper than Palms, and they have a Qwerty keyboard, and all kinds of Algebraic abilities.
Make sure you will enjoy what you are doing.
I am only 15, and have to work with my dad doing landscaping, Do you know how long that day drags on?
But when I'm doing something I kind of do enjoy, like learning how to do stuff on my computer, or in school learning and using interesting stuff, the minutes fly.
So even if it pays good, if you don't like it, don't do it!
Yeah, what he said!
I'm 15-1/2 (to the day actually, I'm going to get my temps tonight).
I have been playiing violent games since I was 3 (Thanks Uncle Ken!)
Everything from Castle Wolfenstein, doom, doom2, Quake 1-3, Soldier of Fortune, Mechwarrior 2-3, just all kinds of stuff.
But, you know what I got out of it, Extremly good hand eye coordination.
Also, I have never once thought about shooting my school up or something (well, maybe a few times, but that is usually in MAth Class)..
I could, I would know how, I even joke around about it (even with teachers), But I would never do it.
I own a Natural keyboard that has held up for 3 years, and a SideWinder Joystick, although I haven't used it in quite a While, still works just fine.
Does anyone here know of a Mid->USB adapter, as I am considering ditching my soundcard, as I was looking at a Stereo that has USB in on it.
My local trade school (Live Oaks) computer dept. was participating in this.
What they basically do is Build a robot that lifts up large Balls, and puts them in a goal.
It also had to go around or through multiple obstacles, like a teeter-totter, and humps.
And there not really robots, there controlled by remote control by 2 guys.
Guys, do you realize that dudes running that website on his roadrunner connection?
1. its against their EULA to do that
2. slow upload, it was slashdotted before you even posted it.
I fell sorry for him, he'll probably get kicked off, or have one heck of a bill.
Actually, they are remote controlled by 2 guys with controllers
Heck, even I can telnet to Linux, with my TI-83+ calculator!
Got kicked off Napster yesterday.
They said he had a copyrighted MP3, and showed him a list of which ones.
He said he didn't have a single on of them!

Actually, RoddenBury was placed in a small lipstick-sized container, and burned up in the atmosphere.
I thought the RIAA was the ones trying to stop Napster from doing the same thing

That way, people in France couldn't look at the Nazi material.
