    I've Had RoadRunner since October, have yet to have it come down, except when the power goes out.
    I get about 300kbps download, Basically, when I'm downloading a CD or something, its the server, not me, thats going slower.

    The local Big-Lots (Junk Store)Still has like 50 of those stacked in a corner. Its actually pretty funny. They also have some MS Basketball and MS Submarine games, that are both like 50 years old

    I've had a server running on a Compaq p75 since October. Its not had a single problem, not a lock-up, never overheated, or notin'
    At school I set up a Cad lab of P120 Compaqs, I have yet to see a lock up.

    I mean, if I was a hacker, I sure wouldn't go doing something like a diary, and giving it to these people! Even if it was through a hot-mail account, it'd still be traceable, if they new a HAcker was defiantely using it.

    I each computer at my high-school were to run GNU software (ie. 200$ for windows, 300$ for MS-office, etc.) We would have more than enough money to either Buy a palm for each computer in the lab (Bad Idea, you don't want kids my age playing with Palms, they wouldn't last a day).

    But what we could use would be Graphing Calculators. I know mine (TI-83plus) has programs on it to interface (plug in to) with all kinds of stuff, from theremomters, to multimeters, then you can graph the information.
    I know TI-92s only cost like 150$, so there even cheaper than Palms, and they have a Qwerty keyboard, and all kinds of Algebraic abilities.

    Make sure you will enjoy what you are doing.
    I am only 15, and have to work with my dad doing landscaping, Do you know how long that day drags on?
    But when I'm doing something I kind of do enjoy, like learning how to do stuff on my computer, or in school learning and using interesting stuff, the minutes fly.

    So even if it pays good, if you don't like it, don't do it!

    I'm 15-1/2 (to the day actually, I'm going to get my temps tonight).
    I have been playiing violent games since I was 3 (Thanks Uncle Ken!)
    Everything from Castle Wolfenstein, doom, doom2, Quake 1-3, Soldier of Fortune, Mechwarrior 2-3, just all kinds of stuff.
    But, you know what I got out of it, Extremly good hand eye coordination.

    Also, I have never once thought about shooting my school up or something (well, maybe a few times, but that is usually in MAth Class)..
    I could, I would know how, I even joke around about it (even with teachers), But I would never do it.

    I own a Natural keyboard that has held up for 3 years, and a SideWinder Joystick, although I haven't used it in quite a While, still works just fine.
    Does anyone here know of a Mid->USB adapter, as I am considering ditching my soundcard, as I was looking at a Stereo that has USB in on it.

    My local trade school (Live Oaks) computer dept. was participating in this.
    What they basically do is Build a robot that lifts up large Balls, and puts them in a goal.
    It also had to go around or through multiple obstacles, like a teeter-totter, and humps.
    And there not really robots, there controlled by remote control by 2 guys.
