Independent ISPs tend not to care about usage. My ISP Rapid Systems in Tampa bay Florida lets you use all of your bandwidth all of the time. They have multiple connections to the internet.
Back in the day, fsp was much better than ftp because it did not keep open connections per client, and used much less memory. This was very important when you had 100 request and only 8 meg of memory. Yes a server with 8 megs at one time was possible.
Morseall is a morse code input server for Linux using the mouse buttons. Morse is being used to help the disabled use computers . A great way to learn morse code is to work on the computer using morse code instead of the keyboard for a few hours.
2mb may seem small, but linux uses a compressed read only flash partition. Our Asix developer board has telnet, ftp, http, busybox, libxml and 3 of our applications running with ~500kb still free!
The Axis MCM has built in flash. Part is setup as a read only file system (ROMFS). BTW: The Axis CPU can program a totaly empty flash by using some built in microcode and the CPU's cache RAM.
...the new file system will also function efficiently with hard drives holding at least one terabyte of data...
Creating such a file system is an extraordinarily difficult task, one that has been attempted for years by database companies, including Microsoft, but that has never reached fruition.
The BFS used in BeOS uses 64 bit addressing (18 exabytes) and has been working for over 5 years...
With the Apex dvd player you can either turn off the region code or change it. I have a DVD movie that is about 1 year old and it would not play with region codes off, so i just switched it:-)

One way to ease the latency of satellite networks is to use low earth orbit (LEO) satellites.
Teledesic plans to do just that (if they ever get off the ground).
Any one else know of other LEO internet startups?
