    I can't imagine that software companys that sell to the wintel world are in a hurry to release more products for Apple users. The people who use Apple products will wait. They're used to it.

    Competition considerations aside, maybe it makes technical sense. AOL is having a hard time with it's new distro. Maybe they are looking to start from scratch with AOLinux for future versions.

    Last weekend I installed SuSE 7.3 on a machine that used to have Windows. I remember the Win install took the better part of a weekend becuase of one hardware conflict or another. With the SuSE install I went from inserting the install disk to surfing for pron in 30 minutes.

    The advanced technologies used in newer aircraft make the use of the subsonic B-52 possible. When the USAF owns the skys it's possible to bomb with a zeppelin. Still, the B52 and a few others (C-130, F4 Phantom, etc.) are marvels of elegant design.

    Yep. Heard of E&Y and after it was brought up and I loaded KPMG in IE, I realized who they are. The Big 5 don't come up alot in my conversations with Lisa (Our Accountant).

    Global warming didn't start with the industrial revolution. It didn't start with the internal combustion engine. It wasn't invented by Al Gore. The current period of global warming started 18,000 years ago at the end of the 100,000 year long Pleistocene Ice Age. There isn't even an indication that the climate is getting warm by the standards of the last thousand years. There was a thriving Norse farming community in Greenland during the first half of the last millennium. The earth entered a period of colder temperatures and they died out. Read On
