7. Colossal Cave (aka Adventure aka Classic Adventure) - Text based adventure, lead to MUDs.
8. Might & Magic - Secret of the Inner Sanctum (1st person dungeon RPG with only 90 degree turns)
9. Space Invaders (deserves a special mention cause of the number of "Shoot at the sky from your rocket ship" games it spawned - either with or without top-scrolling)
How many Dr Who fans does it take to change a lightbulb?
None. They just sit around and wait for it to come back on.

The Future Of 3D

I'm hitting the same brick wall with a small free game project. If it ain't 3D, people don't want to see it.
Which is a crying shame, cause every 3D game there is now has to be put together by a commitee of people - which means no common vision. Always. That is why games suck nowadays.
3) Allow ENUM users to set 'privacy policies' on their ENUM, including 'no unsolicited promotional material'. Sending spam to an ENUM in defiance of applicable policies to be a criminal offense.
The reason they won't do that is the same reasons they give for not making spamming a criminal offense now. Whatever those are. Some interpretation of "Freedom of Speech" is often cited...
Point is, they're difficult to edit, and difficult to cut-and-paste from. Thus, if we want to share this info, we have to share it in the way it is presented there. This is why we boycott them.
A few years back, there must have been a shortage of people with the qualifications to sew a big red tick on the side of running shoes. I think we should all re-train...:((
Here's a thought... Science changes almost completely every 200 years, but the basic truths of the Bible have stayed the same for centuries. As we discover more powerful and more accurate models for the way things in the world work, we can more accurately predict the way things are going to behave, and we can better and more responsibly harness the forces of nature for our own betterment. Science is really good.
But scientific fact is ephemeral. Look at Ununoctium. If you go around saying "Current science will not verify the Bible (eg Creation, The Flood etc etc) so therefore I won't believe the Bible", your faith in current science is greater than mine in God!
OK, another Christian has contributed. Let the flamings continue...
At the University I attended, we had a game called "Degrees of separation".
What we did was we went to a "Safe" page, and the aim was to get to a pr0n page within 7 clicks. These clicks had to be repeatable, all within the HTML document window, and no typing was allowed.
The only page that has beaten us so far was the home page of the Prime Minister of New Zealand - this page has disappeared now cause we have a new PM.
I keep on reading in all these articles about the tension between a game with innovative gameplay and one which is likely to sell. I have to ask - how many FPSs do we need? Or how many Tomb Raider clones, Ultima clones or C&C clones?
When are people going to say "I have played that game enough times now" and go and actively seek something new?
Sadly, I fear that if you really have a good new idea for a game, you'll have to make it in your spare time, give it away for free, and let someone else make a whole bunch of money out of a clone of it if it takes off.
I don't think the mainstream media needs any help finding stories like this to bogey left-wing activists. They are perfectly capable of going out and finding the most destructive minority of activists in the country and reporting them instead of reporting the peaceful actions of some more responsible protestors, who also have a real point.
Don't forget that mainstream media are all large businesses, and large businesses (on the whole) only like one guy - the Republican guy.
Sadly, environmental activists know that the only way to make it onto TV and print with their issue is to perform some horrendous crime that will make the news - in the faint hope that someone will see past the dispproving face and emotive language presented by the newsreader. And they play right into Bush's hands.
Urm, how do we have human life without an enviroment that supports it?
Them's weird priorities.
"We need to concentrate on having lots of installed software, then buy some computers"...
?
Human life depends on the environment, like all other life. Even if you don't give a fsck about tigers and frogs, one day we'll wake up struggling for air cause the world is so screwed up. The sooner we start to rescue the environment (for our own sakes if nobody elses), the smaller a job it's going to be Why not fix these things up while there are still tigers and frogs to thank us for it?
BTW read "This Other Eden" by Ben Elton. Sure, it's fiction and it's silly, but it might make you think.
Few more:

The aim of that is for there to be as little violence as possible!
Midway, was it?
Are you sure you work for Midway, or maybe its one of their competitors?
Have you seen the icon on their software?

The time zone your computer is in.
Which means that for New Zealand the celebrations will begin hours before it does in the States.
Man, we're gonna be so drunk when you guys show up. We'll try to save you some Cheezles.
(You guys got Cheezles over there? Substitute whatever brand of cheese doodles makes you laugh the most)
What position do you hold in the Church of Emacs?
Disposable...
but what does Disposable mean except "You can throw it away"?
I can see this as the new buzz-word for selling multiple units of anything...

Disclaimer: Me too.

Depending of the day, you could probably get to a certain goatish pr0n site within 3 clicks...

Does someone have too much money or something?
Look, if you have any trouble getting rid of it, you could just send it to me. This is just ridiculous.

hehehe if you want to hear some REALLY bad voice-acting, try Crusaders of Might and Magic. It had me in hysterics!
...on Doctor Who they'd call this "regenerating".
Or you could get a Commodore 64. They're cheaper.

I don't think any action figure as geeky as this will EVER see the outside of its box.
