If users are so desperate to have someone to protect them online and to tell them what they can and cannot look, why don't we go back to having content providers? There is your centralized system. Bring the users who want to have someone looking out for their best interests services such as what we had in the early 90's. Bring back the Prodigy, AOL, and Compuserv of years ago.
If you want an archive to pick threw their use to be a show called "Does Humor Belong in Technology". They don't have any new shows, but I still find the archive enjoyable.
Growing up I can remember that my dad had a couple of Parker Jotter Pen and Pencil sets. I started to use them in high school and haven't found another set that has been this good yet.

I was in San Jose this summer and made a trip to the Intel Museum (free admission IIRC),
they had a large scale model of a microprocessor that demonstrates how microprocessors work it mapped everything out for you with the use of led animation.
Sure it was aimed at a younger aged person, but it was non-the-less interesting.
Between that and some of the other displays it was worth the trip
IMHO This has intentional neglect written all over.
Now I realize that computers are not the most durable things in the world...but I have never broken any of my Tupperware...im half tempted to take a hammer to it just to see if its that possible! Hope the wife doesn't mind...
...a Johnson Viking, (I think that's right). It was a full bloan CB, 23 channels and lime green (stylish) all from the 70's. It had a telephone handset with a big button in between the mic and earpiece on it to key down.
imagine slapping that in the Rolls Royce...
