If you look at something that is very far away, you may see 'structures' that look like they are associated, but in fact it just looks that way to you, and some parts of it may be a lot closer than others. A good example of this is the so called constellations, which civilizations in the past identified as animal shapes, but in reality the stars forming them were in no way related, and once astronomers were able to detirmine the actual distance to some of the stars they found that some were much further away. How far away (and long ago) is this 'group' of quasars? maybe its so far away (and long ago) that the universe hasn't expanded much, and we are seeing most of it. Maybe our line of sight is being distorted by the gravity of the black holes involved.
Maybe its part of a giant sign (being constructed by the Magrateans) that says "This way to MilliWays"
Vaporizing the planet would also destroy Israel, not to mention the oilfields (both in the middle east, and in the USA and Canada)
Having a Death Star really only makes sense if your enemies are on other planets, and so far we don't have knowledge of other planets that are inhabited
And The EU has no authority over what google.com does, since its not based in the EU They have some jurisdiction over the european subsidiaries like google.fr b ut don't most searches go through google.com anyway? Except for those people who want to use a foreign language, and a lot of eurpeans are fluent in english anyway.
Round here they solved the problem by making the surface of the road rough enough so that even when its icy you still get some traction. The best thing is it doesn't cost anything, you just don't resurface the road during the road construction season. And the rough roads encourage slower driving all year round.
WE should convert to a metric time system too. The 60 seconds - 60 minutes - 24 hrs - 7 days etc stuff is just as screwy as 12 inches - 3 feet - 1760 yards And get rid of daylight saving.
In the USA, it means its really, really cold, you'll have to dress well, including good gloves and hat. If there is any wind you'll wand to cover your face too. and the air is very dry, inside, getting a humidifier is a good idea.. If your car or truck has been parked outside for a while you would need to start it and have it warm up for 10 minutes before driving off.
In the rest of the world its cold but bearable, since its just below freezing sidewalks may be slippery.
Tablets and MP3 players with microSDXC slot, so I can use 64GB and bigger cards
They should also support USB3.0 And how about Tablets without a built in camera and microphone so you could take it where such inbuilt recording devices and cellphones aren't allowed.
Mars may have had life once, it seems to have had liquid water, but it wasn't big enough to keep a decent atmosphere, and was on the outer edge of the habitable zone. Venus could have supported life, but it had a runaway greenhouse effect. Of the two rocks that orbit between those to edges of the habitable zone, one is way too small to have an atmosphere ever,, so we are down to one habitable planet in this system. (It clearly supports life, though whether there is any intelligence is not certain (a sample of the TV emissions suggests otherwise.)
"a space station for astronauts to refuel on their way to Mars"
I hope they hire Andy Libby to do their calculations.
Anyway having a "gas station in space' is not that good unless you just have it in Earth orbit. Having one halfway to mars is not going to work because you would have to slow down to dock with it and waste delta V

I thought congress way of solving that problem was just don't give any more money to NASA

There have been more Batmobile designs, in the Movies and the comics than there have been versions of the USS Enterprise
I did see the one from the Adam West TV series at ValleyCon a few years ago.
"VW is making cars that look like Porche;"
I wonder who designed the original VW - the one with the rear mounter horizontally opposed air cooled engine...

Some alien showed up and started killing off the people.
After all what do you expect to find in an Antarctic lake
Maybe another Stargate, or an Ancient base
Why are we still using inefficient hydrocarbon burning internal combustion engines to power automobiles anyway?

Do they have USB 3.0 keyboards yet? That could handle millions or words per minute...
Geico thought the Neanderthals had died out too, but they were proved wrong.
Anyway wouldn't the earliest surviving wells be made of stone
