I hope for a drop in weight on the 12", so they can get to "proper" subnotebook level, embarresing for such an aclaimed design firm, to have laptops weighing almost double as panasonic's W4 1,2 kg vs. around 2 kg..

Ever tried holding up your fingers when you are watching regular tv and measuring the size of the screen? Unless you are sitting close to a huge screen, the size is pretty comparable to a small screen. If they can just get the resolution up i think it will be quite comfortable.
Denmark has the same tv licensing fee, but it is way easier to get off. When they came by my house and asked if I had a TV.. I just answered: "ehh... NO" and then they left (^_^)
im mostly getting above 500K/s when downloading of bittorrent, but im a member of a "special" site though, which has a ratio system in place to keep people in line and avoid leeching - on "normal" torrents i get anywhere between 20k-100k/s
the graphics sucks, its the Intel "extreme" graphics chipset. with upto 64 MB shared memory. so many games wont play on it. Anybody know if there is any way to trick games into thinking you have ram directly on the graphiccard? especially for GTA:Vice City.
With that being said the W2 is just amazing!
My primary concern when buying laptop was getting long batterylife and low weight. And after a long search i finally found what i consider the best in those two areas the panasonic toughbooks:
I personally bought the W2http://www.panasonic.com/computer/toughbook/lear n_more_tbw2.asp/ which weighs only 1,3 kg and with full brightness and WiFi on gives me around 4-5 hours battery when surfing the web and doing similar stuff, and it even has a build-in cd rw drive.
