    Push the publicity continually.
Make sure everyone knows that if ANY GMO crop shows up where it is not supposed to be, the person with that unauthorised crop will be sued to bankruptcy by Monsanto , or others.

If you MUST buy a New vehicle, always pay cash.
Open a savings account or an interest paying checking account, (this is short term so you dont care about interest rates).
Deposit the money you would have paid for the monthly payment in to this account and then ignore it until you are ready to buy.

    $400 x 12 months = $4800 x 4 years = $19200.
    $450 x 12 months = $5400 x 4 years = $21600.
    $400 x 12 months = $4800 x 5 years = $24000.
    $450 x 12 months = $5400 x 5 years = $27000.

Buy the new car, then sell the "old" car. Put the money into the car fund and continue.
Or hand it down to family.
Anybody who can't "afford" to follow this simple plan can't "afford" a monthly payment on a loan either and should be buying used.

Cash. Always a great bargaining point.

    Also:
    $400 x 12 months = $4800 x 40 years = $192,000.
    $450 x 12 months = $5400 x 40 years = $216,000.
    $400 x 12 months = $4800 x 50 years = $240,000.
    $450 x 12 months = $5400 x 50 years = $270,000.
    $400 x 12 months = $4800 x 60 years = $288,000.
    $450 x 12 months = $5400 x 60 years = $324,000.

If you want to see something fun try to figure what that becomes with compound interest instead.

Math that should be mandatory in all schools and grade levels. Screw calculus and cosines etc.

Get one with a card reader, put photos that you " think " she wants on it and give it to her.
Then, sit down with your laptop with ALL of the photos you have ( well, not the porn etc. ) and have her choose what SHE wants.
Explain about cropping, putting text on them, pretty frames etc. If she is willing to use a program to edit the photos herself, get her a basic computer and show her the BASICS. Otherwise YOU do the pretty bits, then GET THEM PRINTED.

You are looking at the pictures as "pretty bits that remind me of something". She looks at them as memories and as part of the person and place the photos are of.

Or, to put it another way, she is the customer trying to get something specific and you are the sales weasel trying to sell her a bunch of garbage she doesnt want or need.

If these players were both the same make and model and they both died while watching the same series, the disks probaly have some flakey parts that read like update instructions to the player, they may just need reset to factory specs. Check the website for instructions on how to reset them ( mine is something like - power on - press play and stop at same time - when dvd resets, select settings ). If you can reset these, try the disks again. If they still spork up. look on the manufacturers site for updated firmware, a contact number etc.

If nothing else return them ( if they arent past warranty ) and get the cheapest player with the features you want. Maybe $40 at Wally World , Circut City etc...

So-called "Anti-Matter" doesnt get along well with "Ordinary matter" and stuff ( on whatever scale the interaction happens) goes boom when they get together. "Anti-Matter" probably gets along better with the rest of the ( Dark-Matter/Dark-Energy) universe a bit better and bonds a little bit better with it than "Ordinary-Matter".

    A. Everything in this box is getting scrapped or is going to gather dust for 5 years.

    B. It isnt connected to the network.

    C. Everything they do ( except messing with the hard drive - formatting writing something to it etc.. HD is surplus etc..) will dissapear the next time it is shutdown.

    --------------
DVDSynth is an open platform for developing various "virtual devices," particularly virtual CD/DVD-ROM drives and virtual discs to put in them.
    --------------

If you can make a virtual device AND a virtual disk, you can copy an installation disk to your hard drive ( ISO ), and do software installs from there. Some games, and anything else that look for the cd to verify before runing, could look to a virtual CD.

You could do the same for DVD's and have video parties without the worry of some doofus ( or 2 year old ) scratching a new DVD.

I believe there is something already released that does something similar under windows , but it is not open source.
