Actualy you may have something there. The military would love to have high endurance runners with a WWF build that can go without sleep for weeks. The field testing will be done in the Military. Fighter pilots with faster reaction time and better eyesight. The US army is already doing RK for the eyes for anyone who wants it.

Wrong! They may have found some rock slime that kills MRSA in a peti disk, But you cannot inject rock slime in an IV. They still have to find out what part of the rock slime kills MRSA and refine it into a drug. Big bucks will be spend to develop a process to mass produce the new antibotic. That is what the patent will be for the process of making the drug.

I think DriveSavers is pretty good, but they are expensive. We sent them a 20 GB laptop drive last year and got everything recovered for about 3 grand I think. They had to take the platters out and put them in a new HD. The user was very happy to get her data back. It had 5 years of sentive data on it that could not go on a file server. The company could not take the risk of the data being released. Did I mention that I work at a large chemical plant?

Yes, they are brilliant(SP). On another note, Good News for MCSE's, MCSA's, MCP's, desktop and Network support type people, they will still be needed. AD and win2k have been lowering the TOC and need for support for the last 2 years. Now companies will still need local IT, not 50 people in India.

Blood transfusions, IV's, and sterile equipment, those are not improvements? In the 1860's amputation was the only cure they had. I think you have your wars wrong, you are thinking of WWII. Most of the improvements in the Civilian world of emergency medicine came in the 60's, after Shock-Trauma in Maryland got started.

-I get my Boss to buy the latest Red Hat release box set.

$70 for docs for all your computers vs $200 for Win2k/XP Pro for 1 computer. Don't get me started on prices for Win2k server and the CAL(which is the real cost). 1 license for each PC, 1 license for each server and another access license for each and every computer you own.

  12. Re:The Government on South Africa Wants Control of .za · · Score: 1

I think if .ZA is the TLD for South Africa, then the government can say who will or will not admin it. As long as the root servers know to point to the .ZA DNS server why should ICANN be control of the local server. As for the the South African administrator they have now, I would not be making such loud statements to the press. People who disagree with the Government in third world counties(and a few first world counties) sometimes disappear in the middle of the night. Someone might find that admin in bottom of a ditch, if you know what I mean.
