    not really, putin is a man that steals superbowl rings.

    "can i try that on?" and just walks away with surrounded by bodyguards... then says that it was a gift.

    pretty innocuous, but that op-ed strikes me as true, he's a bully. and thinks that the wall should have never come down.

    the problem for me with putin and russia is...

    they are fucking batshit insane. They tell the truth, in the sense that what they say, is now the truth. And they expect the rest of the world to eventually conform to it.

    Putin is a super villain.. his opponents and critics mysteriously happen to get shot in the face, or ingest radioactive isotopes.

    but hey, i'm fine, because putin only has a couple thousand nukes left, and he's not crazy enough to use them...

    you know, i'm not fantastically comfortable with the idea that i'm using "not crazy enough" to describe a world leader with his finger potentially on the button.

  6. about the same amount of times i've heard of an alleged date rapist seeking and being granted asylum in a nations' embassy.

    this one is all around wierd, but we've also spent 8-10 million on manhunts in the US before.
    because sometime it's not about the money, sometimes it's about the principle.

    if the US and UK roles were reversed, i'd say let him stay there forever. And when he finally comes out, i'd arrest him, extradite him to sweden, and that would literally be that.

    well, from what i gather pediatric thyroid cancer is 20ish in a million, vs here you've got something in 370,000?

    don't care enough to dig in further.

    just that the article seems to be good for the numbers and and it's not 1 real case vs 135 false positives.

    checked the pdf linked in the rando article, don't read japanese, but google translate seems to believe that the blog post reflects the pdf reasonably well

    i'm under the impression that demographic-shifting waves of muslim immigration into europe have people slightly worried there on that front too... and those europeans are anti-semitic too.
