  1. 1 week vs. 3 weeks on The Mythbusters Answer Your Questions · · Score: 1

1 week or 3 weeks to produce a myth? Haha, seems like we know who's doing the tedius work!

  3. Re:The eternal question... on Connectors: A History of Their Technology? · · Score: 1

I think its important to point out that although the previous post has a score of 4, it is not accurate at all. There is no definative proof that BNC stands for Bayonet Navy Connector, or any one of the other combinations suggested in this thread. Being a geek, I know its hard to accept, but really, we will never know what BNC truely stands for.

  4. The eternal question... on Connectors: A History of Their Technology? · · Score: 4, Interesting

If we're talking about connecters, we should take time to ponder the mystery of BNC connecters, their origins, and what the hell BNC stands for anyways!

At this point, is anyone really suprised? Hell, I'd almost say that it doesn't even qualify as 'news' anymore. Let's hear it for capitalism!

  8. Dragonball Live Action Movie on DragonBall: The Live Action Movie · · Score: 1

There has already been a live action movie made based off of DragonBall Z. It's called Dragonball, and it came out in the mid-late 90's.

All I have to say is that this movie is fantastic. And by fantastic, I mean completly terrible. The same way I can watch midget wrestling; it's so bad its good.

Somehow, Kamehameha Waves and Destructo Discs just aren't as believable in real life...

  9. Game systems boosting numbers... on Record Video Games Sales in 2001 · · Score: 1

The fact that their were new game systems such as Gamecube and the MircoBox boosted these sales figures, I'm sure. Not only are the systems more expensive than an ordinary game, but with a new system comes new games to be played on them (since the days of Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt being included with a system are long gone).

With that being said, is it worthwhile to have game and hardware sales tracked separatly? Or maybe thats only a novelty durring new system seasons such as 2001.

    Danny!

P.S. - Most importantly, I'm excited to see video games getting so huge. Now if we could just get Panasonic's Japanese release of the Gamecube in the states!

  12. Re:Nail that sticks up highest gets hit first.... on Handling Discrimination in the IT Workplace? · · Score: 0

I respect your opinion of not rocking the boat, but I think its important to look at the bigger picture. There shouldn't be a boat to rock.

This is America, this is supposed to be freedom. Somehere along the way we lost that. I think that it would be a great idea for a group to be organized to provide resources and combat against dicrimination in the IT field. Maybe there already is one, I don't know.

Why should we have to live in fear of being canned because of our age? It's not right to fire someone based on race, creed, or sex. Why should age be any different?

Good luck to all of you who face these challenges, I think that if we can organize, we can make some real changes.
