Which is why responsible parents teach their children not to eat anything they find on the ground. Until the kid is old enough to understand that (about 2 years, otherwise the kid is slow), they require constant supervision.
I mean, I might believe he tought it was chocolate before swallowing the first one, but the other two means the kid was pretty dumb for a four year old. Still, there could be a compromise: put an age limit on the stuff. I don't see why it should be outright banned.
I'm no big activist, but I've done some work for the environment, and like to think of myself as someone conscious about our biosphere. Which is why I find it so annoying when I'm being confused with the radicals chaining themselves in front of nuclear plants, advocating ethanol, fighting for yet another kitten asylum and generally doing more harm than good. They are the reason environmentalism has lost its credibility, and the public doesn't even hear about issues much more pressing than global warming like pollution, habitat destruction, overfishing/hunting and global extinction.
Neither is ethanol. As many of the simple minded radical greens, the author can't tell the difference between clean (as in less pollution/harmful environmental effects), renewable and low greenhouse gas emitting.
Exactly, these guys have like 15-20 years of experience, and in theory were selected from hundreds of appliants. They could get the job on an interview anytime they wanted to. Now if the job was a top position or something very prestigious i could understand, but that's not the case. The show is just a thinly veiled advertisement with MS products placed in every corner of the screen.
Every browser has some functionality to store your passwords without having to give permission to a single entity to all your online activity. Why would anyone want an online service to do that is beyond me.
There are tons of comic book cartoon series and films and I think that the drawing reflects comics much better than movies do. But I guess in terms of income they aren't comparable to them.
It has been some time since I did web development, but I remember many WYSIWYG editors that you could configure to view the source on one side and the result on the other. Thus you could see what you did while handcoding, or could create a prototype quickly with the editor and find the parts that neeeded refinement.
First, Youtube is used by millions of people and there isn't a monolithic Youtube community. If you encounter lot's of morons on Youtube, you might want to try and change the parts of it you frequent. There are many parts with normal or even intelligent comment walls. Second, the theory that improper behaviour on the internet is caused by anonymity has been disproved by Facebook long ago. Facebook showed us that people can be just as dumb without anonymity.
So why are conversations appear to be less intellectual than IRL ones? One cause I think is that not being face-to-face with the other person desensitises the netizens. It might also be just an appearance: the internet has given everyone a chance to express themselves, and as the average person is a moron, most comments we see are stupid.
If this stuff could be further developed so that you would be able to turn it on and off like smart glass it would be a good alternative of shades, generating electricity from excess light. Trying to only convert IR light is a clever idea, but the electricity you get from that isn't much, you are much better off putting a panel on the roof.
A hosting site or a service provider should not be responsible for the actions of their users, nor should they be forced to prove their innocence. In a real legal state, takedown notice laws can't exist.
It looks like something that's already cheaper to fabricate than synth diamond, so it has a good chance of replacing diamond in most industrial applications.
It's already possible to manufacture guns using traditional methods. Maybe a bit harder for a hobbyist.
Assange has already lost the extradition case and violated his bail conditions, there is nothing this guy can do.
High school graduates. Which is perfectly normal, you don't need a diplome for helpdesk.

Maybe he doesn't live in America? This is an Internet store we are talking about.

It's easy, mod up responses that disagree.

They can already afford to do these stuff completely open.
I guess they couldn't fit all the lights and cameras in the basement.

Not all adaptations have to be richer or more complex. Just look at the recent Spiderman movies.
The money in internet advertising grows slower than the number of internet ads, making them cheaper.

Freemium hearing aids: you get it for free but it will whisper ads it downloads from the net in your ears constantly.
Or he is talking about Clark Kent.

A European company sues another European company in a Texican court over an American software patent? That's a new level of trolling.
