    Seems like one of the largest unions, that of the Police, are far from siding with OWS;

    Of course, the whole point, of being anti-corporate and anti-corruption of Capitalism, is one that goes against the core fiber of both the Democrats and the GOP. So it is quite silly to equate the OWS with the DNC in the same way as the Tea Party was/is essentially just a fringe classification of the actual GOP base.

    They already have insane, publisher-hating prices. A single case is something like $4, but if you add another disc to it it jumps to $~9, then it's something like $7 per extra disc after that.

    The reasoning (other than sheer profit) is that multi-disc games make the system look bad.

    Regardless, the prices would be too much, though the ability to possibly have chips that prevent sharing games/selling them used or even implementing a timed lifespan would make many publishers cream their pants.

    Of course, with modding or even a specific software patch available in JP, you could play DVDs on the Wii.
    not sure about Blurays on the WiiU, as apparently the optical hardware is going to be just slightly different from standard BR readers to prevent piracy.

    With 20-35GB being the standard monthly cap in many places like Canada, digital distribution for console games just isn't going to be feasible for a decade or two.

    Being able to play games on a game system without depending on externalities - a functionality, rather than a service - is kind of implicitly guaranteed.

    After a tiny bit of coffee-break research, it seems that there are a decent chunk of first world countries that have compulsory voting.

    Of course, if Russia did have it, I suppose it would expose these elections as even more of a fraud.

    You can already make such a system. There are tons of sites for importing short-range jammers, and from there it's just a matter of hooking it up to a speedometer system.

    I'm personally not truly against either. But I don't view them as reliable or sustainable methods of profit.
    I don't know of what the alternatives are, but innovation is certainly needed by most sites and content producers.

    Yes, yes. But 100% turnout from places that range from Apathetic to outright hatred of his Regime, and a majority vote for him? That's an entirely different level of bullshit than what Scott Walker could accomplish.
