To acquire Julius Mode, you must finish the game with either the second bad
ending or the good ending in the regular mode. To get the second bad ending,
you must enter the "boss room" in the Garden of Madness that uses the fifth
Magical Seal without Mina's Talisman equipped. The result of the second bad
ending is a direct lead-in to Julius Mode. However, getting the good ending by
continuing through the game after having equipped Mina's Talisman before that
scene will allow you to acquire Julius Mode, anyway.
i find the item system to be completely HORRIBLE when racing against near skilled enemies. if you're in the lead you're so crippled on items compared to the enemies behind. i find it EXTEMELY advantageous to sit in 2nd place rather than take the lead. i know that doesnt make a lot of sense but if you're in the lead you will NOT be getting offensive items. so if you get taken out (by offensive items) you have to wait around a bit to get an offensive item to attack with. if you stay in 2nd place you can get offensive items to protect your 2nd place spot in case of succesfully being attacked (you can get revenge), and also you can sit on good items like your mentioned blue shell or red shell, and use them on the leader at the close of the final lap, leaving them powerless to stop you.
also i think its HIGHLY unfair that your single player gameplay affects your ability to play online. in that character and cart unlocks are earned in signle player but usable in multiplayer. if you look around online you'll notice that most of the better drivers use unlocked characters/karts.
all in all its cool, i just hate losing to people that im a little bit faster than because they get better items than me.
oh yeah i also hate how the majority of my games take place on the crap tracks (figure 8 for example).
yeah somewhere in the 10-14 hour range is when you should have the 2nd ending. this ending allows you to play the game over again but with most souls and weapons to start with. mainly since once you get to > lvl 50 you can own over half the world with 1 hit.
if you get the 3rd ending you can play the game as julius. i am not that far in DS version but in GBA version (which the DS is merely an extension of) playing as julius was INCREDIBLY hard, since you only have his whip and no soul abilities (tho you do have moves that you cant do with soma).
i do agree that once you get past approx 90% the game gets much more repetitive but there IS much more, like collecting all the diff weapons and souls.
also soul eater ring changes everything, since souls drop a LOT more.
in the end tho unless you're a big fan once you get throuh that 10-14 hours you're pretty much done. but if you're a big fan 14 hours is nowhere near the end:)
or you can increase cooling area. cfm isnt all there is to cooling you know.
and just because MS is losing money doesnt mean that they want to lose MORE money. any cost saving they can get on the hardware just makes them lose that much LESS money...bringing them closer to profit.
ps- "or you could buy consoles that dont have ridiculous heat outputs:)" how could someone think that i was talking about the crash issue when i reply to a guy talking about cooling with that post?
im talking about cooling, not about crashes or jaxed power supplies.
im talking about how my console should make a boat load of noise.
i mean pc's can be high performance and relatively quite. and the vast majority of pc's are an amalgamation of parts, not a fully engineered solution like a console is.
it simply comes down to MS realizing that making it quiter doesnt make them any more money.
ps-im not discussing this at all, but word on the street suggests that the problems are related to an inferior series of power supplies shipping with some systems. idk tho
and contrast that to the other millions of console electronics that do indeed just work.
random failures are acceptable, systematic problems are not.
dead pixels are a function of quality control. they naturally occur in producing screens, quality control is there to weed out those "bad" screens".
to say to blame the electronics industry is a phallacy, blame EVERY single company for bad qc. vote with your money! "i dont like it but i put up with it because it doesnt detract enough value for me" is EXACTLY WHY they have poor QC.....why pay to ferret out all the dead pixels if people will buy it anyway?
i guess you forget that corporations have no morals:(
unethical perhaps. its kinda aiding and abetting. what they are trading directly isnt illegal, but what they are trading POINTS to or allows people to do something illegal (copy the copyrighted data).
and their ability to pirate is DIRECTLY caused by having the signpost that is the torrent.
not quite :)

man profiteering sure is nice!
leave the US, then it prolly wont be 3k per bottle!
myspace is what the owners want it to be. users exist only in the specific myspace framework.
tho everyone uses it as a friends/hookups site its designed to be a music site.
basically myspace is crap. it works, but it could be infinately better.
its just the site of the moment.
that and someone is making interest off of the refund amount.
amazing! an insightful post on a console topic on /. /end of world
might want to lower their expectations?
there are PLENTY of things you can do with revolution controller that you cant do with a regular controller. use your imagination.

that doesnt work in all situations :(
yeah and what if you live someplace or have somejob thats fuel based?
all we need to do is increase efficiency.
grammar is overrated.

pss- fuck elitist fucktards who assume things.
you could get splashback
you shouldnt tho :(

i expect that its really quite.
:(
since when do consoles get fair lease to make lots of noise?
the things people are willing to put up with for MS
why no one ever remembers this is beyond me :(
here is why kids dont do IT so much anymore: (this is what they think)
dotcom boom is over so wages are lower
work hours are horribly long
everyone and their mom is qualified so there is far too much competition
summed up in one sentence: its hard to get jobs, and when you do you will work too much for too little.
whether its true or not, thats the perception among my community.
unethical perhaps. its kinda aiding and abetting.

idk its pretty gray.
actually if you want to get great pvp gear you need 2 things:
:(
time and a team.
you need time to play practically constantly, and you need a team with some voice action (teamspeak, vent, etc) so you can farm honor kills.
otherwise dont expect to get any good pvp gear
generally a pretty good way to judge what is good and bad. not 100% but def weeds out the crap (umm midway!)
