Your link is a little laughable. Try this one These are the ones used in commercial applications and I guarantee they are more than $10k As someone who works for a company that boasts one of the largest wind footprints in the world I know a little about the subject. Ironically I work in the natural gas group but I know it is still EXTREMELY expensive to build and maintain the wind turbines. As others have already pointed out wind is sporadic and doesn't always blow when it's needed while at other times it produces so much electricity the existing transmission lines cannot handle the load. Texas has already started a project to build new transmission lines from west Texas to Dallas/Ft. Worth and battery technologies are being researched as possible storage stations.

If your a movie studio and you believe there is a worldwide consortium of hackers that can call on each other to attack a specific target you are going to tread VERY lightly in poking fun at said group.
Actually it would be more like Directron Their multi-acre warehouse in Houston, Texas has a small store in the front full of PC cases of every conceivable design and off-lease equipment. They also have several kiosks where you can sit down to browse their web site and order what you want. Once you order you walk over to the Will call kiosk and type in your order number to tell them you are there to pick up the merchandise. A few minutes later someone will come out from the warehouse with your stuff and process your order. It was hilarious before they moved to the bigger warehouse because the store was only big enough to fit 3 people before you couldn't open the front door. I can see it now. People opening up "storefronts" in a Public Storage space for a couple of minutes a day to get around a law like this.
Don't know why you posted AC since this is in fact the very thing I am doing. I have my PS3 connected to the back of my DVR in the living room, my Xbox 360 connected to a box in the den and an XBox running XBMC to the box in the bedroom. I would have used the existing coax to pull Cat5 but they stapled the coax to the frame!
The U-Verse service uses the HomePNA 3.1 specification over the coax so the speed is limited (I think it is 320 Mbps) so when I am playing a movie or a game on-line I make sure to turn the set top box off so I'm not competing for bandwidth. It works quite well but I am still slowly running Cat5e and RG6 as time permits. The HomePNA web site has a link to member products as well that may be of use.
$0.02 Most humans have an innate desire to believe there is a creator/God/Overseer because saving that their existence is, shall we say, POINTLESS. This is true in all casts/cultures/cities/continents etc. etc. If you took one hundred infants (the number isn't that important) and placed them in isolation with no contact to any other human their entire life there is a high probability that among other things they would have developed some form of religious belief to explain who they are.
Most if not all of the people I know who do not believe in a higher power would readily agree that they are "intellectuals" and they all pretty much say the same thing to those who believe in God "Show me proof". To the Christians who call themselves creationists or ID or believe they can "prove" God I say this...STOP IT! God doesn't need your help and He said so in His word. Belief in a higher power is by it's very nature an act of faith. There will not be any proof forthcoming. He even went so far as to let you know that the more you try to understand the less understanding there will be:
1 Corinthians 1:27
but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong.
To the intellectuals I would ask they refrain from characterizing every person who chooses to believe in God as a crazy person or an idiot. I mean look at it this way. If there is no God then when I die I haven't lost much but if God exists then things potentially get pretty sweet for me.
As far as the textbooks are concerned I believe there should be a reference to the reason the pilgrims left British rule (religious oppression) and that the pilgrims themselves were resolute in their belief in and worship of God since those are facts that are directly relevant to the subject matter. Anything not factual in content should be a footnote at best.
I second this. The only reason I even fire up iTunes is to install updates. Although obvious a link is always nice. It's periphery functions are also quite interesting. The ability to quickly search multiple locations (CDDB, Amazon, Amazon UK, etc) to fill in missing information works really well and the DJ mode for using during parties to keep wandering hands from snarking up your settings is a nice touch. It allows plug-ins and there is a healthy community of 3rd party plug-ins available.
I wonder how a game where an archer (who just happens to look like a certain Android) shoots an Apple (that just happens to have a bite taken out of it) off of it's pedestal would be received? Hrmmmm...
That's very interesting. When we got U-Verse (Nov 2008) I would have agreed with you. I decided to stick it out and within 3 months AT&T rolled out an update that improved the situation quite a bit. In fact they have provided quite a few improvements over the last year and most of the issues I originally had are long gone. The only issue I haven't tested since the updates is HDMI connections causing the box to randomly reboot. Both my HD sets only do up to 1080i anyway so Component is fine with me. I never got a TIVO since you couldn't pay me to go back to Comcast and the hoops needed to get it working on other platforms put me off.
Considering how many single purpose devices I work on that still use IBM/MS DOS 3.3 I suspect IE6 will be dominant until corporations are forced to migrate to Win7/8. Big companies are spending their money on things that make them MORE money. Upgrading to IE 7/8 is NOT free and since IE6 "works" in the eyes of the boss there is no "need" to upgrade. I'm not aware of an enterprise deployment feature for FireFox or Chrome. I believe Opera may have one but I don't think it is free. Since XP and IE6 for the majority of enterprises is good enough nothing short of Microsoft pulling the plug on XP and thus IE6 will get those entities to address the issue of their IE6 locked web site / application. That time is coming barring any further extensions from Microsoft but it is still years away (currently 4/8/2014). Where I work they have taken 2 years rewriting our intranet web applications to work with IE7 but as of yet have no plans to migrate anyone and simply roll IE7 to new builds...of XP Pro. But feel free to continue to deride IE6 users sternly to your hearts content as they stare back with that deer in the headlights gaze.
How is this better than Mitsubishi's LaserVue technology? It's basically a laser DLP to phosphor opposed to whatever material is used by Mitsubishi for a standard DLP screen. It even looks like the LaserVue uses less power than this.
If I understand this correctly what the judge is asking is what law did Comcast break in their actions. If I understand what Comcast was eventually charged with by the FCC wouldn't forgery or impersonating an officer or hijacking all be possible crimes committed? Comcast basically took a packet coming from a sender and hijacked it, injected it with the reset command (forgery), and sent the packet on it's way to the recipient (impersonating a packet from sender which could be looked at like a mail carrier or "officer" of the post office).

You do know that movie was fiction, right?
I never thought of it as fiction so much as
A FRIKKEN HILARIOUS COMEDY
*sheesh*
You can always hope the current crop of Neanderthals will be bred out as their namegivers had.
I wouldn't bet on that.
Is this a new dinosaur or a new as in you didn't have it before BMWsaur?

Is it Verizon Wireless or Verizon that is blocking 4chan? If it's Verizon does the block affect the wireless group as well?
Could you define obscenely in this context?
I sync my iPod Touch (1st gen) using MediaMonkey exclusively.
WOW, insightful comments from AC. Who knew?

as someone who has programmed in many, many languages
What do programming languages have to do with San Antonio Shoes?
That was my first thought as well. I programmed in HP VEE and Labview in the early nineties.

On the topic of the lawsuit...SSDL
Major mistake, playing to the stockholders instead of their customers.
