    Let me rephrase your post..

If you are driving in an affluent suburb with dark coloured skin, then you are *not* "innocent".

Police officers are not objective individuals who only pull people over for actual offenses. They also pull over blacks, hispanics, for driving while not white amongst other things.

So you're telling me that this isn't going to be abused?

Because statistically, they would also "catch" more innocent people than they would otherwise.

Let's see, ALSA is an acronym for Advanced Linux Sound Architecture, how is that -not- discriptive? As for your other complaints, they're no less descriptive than their Windows and MacOS counterparts.

A portable hole and a bag of holding are two magical items that perform the same task... which is both are near-infinite storage facilities which fit conveniently into the palm of your hand... (and they melt in your mouth too).

Putting one near infinite storage facility into another near infinite storage facility causes a massive explosion, which destroys both storage locations, shuffles around every other storage location, and tends to kill the moron that did it, and those unfortunate enough to travel with him/her.

Which is more complicated and expensive? Razor blades which require R&D, not to mention swivels, goo-strips, and metal, or a bit of plastic which only serves to hang said razor upon?

The reason razor blades are more expensive is that they cost the company more to produce, due to R&D, and also the cost of materials. Razors themselves are just cheap bits of plastic to hang the blades on.

You don't need the modchip though, you just need a copy of 007:something or another, and you can buffer-overflow your way into it.

You can also, after using the buffer-overflow exploit upgrade the firmware in the bios by soldering two of the pins (I'm no X-Box hacker, so I'll not try to say which). So, you won't need a modchip.

You can get the 007 game at blockbuster for five bucks...

if you make changes to the code licensed under the GPL, the GPL insists that you make that code change *no matter how minor* available to all *SOMEHOW*,

No, the GPL says you have to give the code (including changes) to those who you distribute the binaries to, and that you're not permitted to restrict distribution.

If you're distributing software internally, there's no reason under the GPL that you have to distribute the source code to anyone that doesn't need it, because the transaction is internal.

If you're not distributing the software at all, there is no reason under the GPL that you have to distribute the source code to anyone, because you're not distributing.

The GPL restricts distribution of original and derived works, by stating that you have to provide the source code to those who(after recieving your binaries) request it. You don't have to distribute the source code to the world, nor do you have to give away your software for free.
