You should not need to plow two inches of snow. You shouldn't even need snow tires. Driving in snow is not that hard. You leave a bit extra room between vehicles, go slightly slower, put the car in a lower gear if need be, and if you start to slide stir into it. I had drive in snow and ice earlier this winter and had to drive in much more significant snow in previous years.

From purely moralistic ethics and human rights point of view; Is it worth not being dehumanized and having your right abused? From comfort perspective you also have some space to walk around and slightly more leg room.

When the revenue stream dries up, and people make it clear why they are not traveling by air any more, the airlines will go lean on the government.
But it has to be enough people to hit them where it hurts: the pocketbook. And they're not even slightly afraid of that possibility, because Americans are sheep.

Well there is hacker new, it has good stories and some good insightful comments but their moderation systems isn't that good and the site owner likes to bring down the ban hammer on a whim from what I hear. Also the community tends toward being overly concerned with being seen as more politically correct than his fellow poster. (Example; yesterday there was a posting about a tool similar to "man pages" only it was called "bro pages" it was meant to show example of how to use various command line tools rather than list all of the option like man does. The whole thread turned into a diatribe of how this tool was demeaning to women because it was called bro which was not inclusive enough and that would keep women out of IT as it manifested the masculine oppressive tendencies)

Bitcoin just gets rid of middlemen in this respect. Losing coins are not a problem as they are infinitely divisible. Currently only to 8 decimal places, but that can be increased if needed. One bitcoin or even a fraction of a bitcoin is enough to run the whole world economy.
Which could alleviate one problem at the expense of exacerbating another: hoarding. When smaller and smaller fractions of a BTC become more and more valuable, those holding on to their BTC get richer and richer.
