Googol doesn't offer old copies of websites, unfortunately. (perhaps they should) There is one site that does though, although it's somewhat limited. A search at The Internet Archive turned up a very old copy of ZeoSync's website
The archive is great for viewing old versions of websites you like to frequent.
Seeing as how the Maximog site didn't have much info on the UAV (Unmanned Air Vehicle) I did a little digging and found on online review of what they must be using.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and this has perhaps already been said, but the longer cut of the movie may not appear in August, instead waiting until 2004. That's one of the many rumors I've been hearing anyhow. The reason is that New Line does not want anything to interfere with the theatrical runs of the films, and a longer cut of the film may do just that. People may reason that if they only waited 6 months for a longer, better cut of the movie, why bother seeing it in the theater at all? Seeing as how Hollywood is especially timid, I'm placing my money on the dvd release happening this way:
August 2002: Fellowship, Original Cut. Plenty of extras, probably a 2 disc set.
August 2003: The Two Towers, Original Cut, Similar set as FOTR.
August 3004: The Return of the King, Original Cut, again.. another 2 disc set.
Perhaps that same month: I huge box set containing all films and longer cuts of each film. Probably a s---load of extras as well. I heard they shot over 600 hours of documentary footage while making the films. If but 10 hours makes it onto the discs, that's still a heck of a lot of extras.
I had a similar experience with my boss. He recieved the Anna Kournikova virus which came with an attachment called annakournikova.jpg.vbs, or something along those lines.
He did everything he could think of to get that jpeg to load. He tried double clicking, which promply installed the virus. Then he tried opening it in IE. Then I think he renamed it, takeing the.vbs off the end. (as if that would help.)
Really, just how hard up could you be for a pic of Anna? Google is only a few clicks away... don't make it so difficult on yourself.
A few minutes later, he came to ask me to help him with a virus on his computer.

Yes, this was a gaff on my part. I have been paying a LOT of attention to the creation of these films. They were what made me go check out Peter Jackson's other films in the first place. I'd never seen any of them, except for Frighteners. I'd always enjoyed Frighteners, but liked the others even more!
Damn.. I must have reloaded TORN and TORC at least 5 times each today alone. Yes, I'm an obsessive fanboy.

It is indeed the Peter Jackson who made Bad Taste and Braindead. He also made the masterpiece that is Meet the Feebles, one of the most fscked up movies you will ever see.
To see how well he can handle special effects, I'd recommend watching The Frighteners. The CGI in it looks a little dated today, but it was pretty impressive when the film was released. It was on Starz last night, so I just had to watch the Lee Ermey segments.
He also directed Heavenly Creatures, which shows how well he can capture dramatic performances. It also has some pretty wicked dream sequences that show me just how creative this director really is.
I'm really happy with this choice of directors. From his past work, it seems that he's up to the task. He's also a huge fan of the book, and it's obvious that he wants to do it justice. Put that together with his sick sense of humor, and his penchant for gore, and we could have quite a film on our hands come December.
Of course, Jackson's taste for gore is going to be toned down a bit for the initial release, as he's been contracted to make a PG-13 film. There is a rumor that the DVD will have a Rated-R cut. I hope this happens.
Wouldn't all full moons on Halloween be Blue Moons? Since October is 31 days long, Halloween being the 31st, and there's a full moon every 28 days or so, wouldn't it make it impossible for it not to be a Blue Moon whenever there's a full moon this late in the month?

The article mentions Alice's Restaurant about 2/3rds of the way through, so I thought I'd explain the reference for some of the folks here who aren't familiar with the song.
The bit he makes reference to is this:
"And friends, somewhere in Washington enshrined in some little
folder, is a study in black and white of my fingerprints.
only reason I'm singing you this song now is cause you may know
somebody in a similar situation, or _you_ may be in a similar
situation, and if your in a situation like that there's only one thing
you can do and that's walk into the shrink whereever you are, just
walk in say "Shrink, You can get anything you want, at Alice's
restaurant.". And walk out. You know,if one person, just one person
does it they may think he's really sick and won't take him. And if
two people, two people do it, in harmony, they may think they're both
faggots and they won't take either of them. And three people , three
, can you imagine, three people walking in sing a bar of Alice's
Restaurant and walking out. They may think it's an organization. And
can you imagine fifty people a day,I said fifty people a day walking
in sing a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out. And friends they
may thinks it's a movement.
And that's what it is , the Alice's Restaurant Anti-Massacre
Movement, and all you got to do to join is sing it the next time it
come's around on the guitar."
I highly recommend that you read the full text (long)
It's essentially an anti-war song, but it's also DAMN FUNNY. Highly recommended if you've never heard it. The MP3 can probably also be found, and it is better to listen to the song than to read it.
I think I'm somewhere inbetween Fan and Cryptic. I like taking a song title (one that I'm listening to a lot) and then make an acronym out of it. Then I tag a number onto the end, front, or middle of it.
Alright.. somebody mod my dumb ass down for not reading the entire article before posting. About 2/3 of the way down it mentions KINK as being the station in question. It's not one I ever listen too, so I can't really comment on what sort of station they are.
The LA Times article mentions that the station was out of Portland, Oregon. I'd be curious to know which one, as I only live 1 1/2 hours away, and listen to several stations from there.
I'd be willing to put money on it being Rosie 105. This is a station that changes formats every few years, and plays the same damn thing all day long. Currently it's Top 40 crap.
I'm new to BSD... heck, pretty new to Linux. (Installed Redhat a couple of times, ran it for quite a while, attempted to install Debian, fubar'd it, never tried to reinstall is)
I was going to try either BSD or Mandrake next... BSD is especially appealling due to the fact that I'm going to be turning my old computer into my gateway/firewall/ftp/print/whatever server and I'd like it as secure as possible.
Mandrake has iso's available for their latest version, does OpenBSD have these as well? I'm getting damn lazy when it comes to downloading a ton of different directories and trying to figure out just how to make a cd out of them.
