    * my system uses Canadian English and therefore says Please.

    Passphrases: sentences and quotes that are easy to remember but may be more than 30 or 40 characters in length.

    Quotes? methinks that is an invitation to dictionary attacks no?

    Wouldn't it be really easy to store hashes on "well known" quotes easier than well know words? Sheer volume of words versus quotes and all.

    Add a made-up word and that would be a fairly good passphrase

    (I think that's why you posted it, correct?)

    here an idea:

    pick one (use any criteria you desire), learn it.

    Pick another one, learn the differences.

    Try a third, more difficult distro (pick gentoo)

    learn it inside and out.

    Give yourself a long break from Windows (a month should do it) now go back to Windows and hate it properly.

    Then never ever ever again ask What is the best distro..... as the answer will always be Gentoo anyway (ok ignore that last bit :-)

    No religion in Government (would be discriminatory)

    Firearms arent sold in convenience stores and must be licensed.

    These are Rights we dont mind losing.

    When I used Solaris (few years back) the first thing I built on it (after adding gcc and tools) was WindowMaker.

    Ultra60 with a GB of ram and WindowMaker makes a nice quick workstation

    zip files always give me the same error anyway.

    -bash: ./something.zip: Permission denied

    zips aren't associated with ANY application. I have to know that unzip will extract it.

    I also know where it will extract, and I also know that unzip won't run ANY THING in the achive.
