I think the trick is that there's a breif pause between the show and the ads in which there is a black screen. It detects this black screen (and probably some other stuff imbedded in the signal) and knows to mark it as the start of the commercial, and then waits for the other black screen signal to mark it as the end of the commercial.
You know if that's a national thing? I have a LOT of monitors sitting around here that I wouldn't mind changing in for a 19" CRT or something relatively newer.
You're right, it's only with some motherboards, and only if you set it to such. As far as THW goes, they're pretty much laughed at among most enthusiasts nowadays, usually for their obvious intel/nVidia bias.
Because they do sell software on pretty much every OEM box that goes out...
Using the drivers that came on the CD? Those suck.
Erie County (and possibly all of NYS, I'm not sure) has laws prohibiting the use of phones while driving... unless you have a handsfree set.
Freind of mine's father is a jeweler, did the same thing with a ring, but the machine still works nicely.

It's a chiller for processors. Average temp for a chip with one of these is in the low negative 30s (celcius, no less)

Whatcha sitting with? The local university is tossing out some p3 motherboards here, (Slot1), I could toss one your way for the cost of shipping.
Pics, general specs? email me.
Yes! We ran that as a forty person game in high school. My girlfreind ended up being my assasin, but hey, I had some fun before she killed me.
=)
Mmm... wifi.
If it's originally written in a proportional font, the formatting will be fucked when you go to look at it in a fixed width font.
Your point might hold true still, but last I checked, radio stations generally didn't run HDTV
True, but for most of the applications involving humans, it won't be too bad. I understand the problem, though.
Except that it's pretty easy to tell the difference between the two on casual inspection.
Instead of .031xxxx?
If you know of a better way to make more virgins, I'd like to hear it.
Seriously, I'm running 2.2 on my laptop quite happily.
Vissicitude, I think.
Fell in a pile of.... shaving cream
Hmm... 600 dollar difference.
SCO, perhaps?

Yeah, the read speeds are alright, but good lord are the write speeds horrible.
Only the pentium 4, as far as desktops go, and in certain laptops as well, but aside from that, no. It's far from "most".
Ok, I can concede as much.
