Not sure why everyone is so ecstatic over the mirco precentage points one OS has over another. Its irrelevant. I don't care even about the fruitcake at all.
My point was, that where things can get copied innovation happens. Innovation does not happen if ideas are protected. What would be the reason to innovate if only you can produce it.
Galaxy 2 and iPhone 4 look similar, granted. I still think that this is not good news for consumers no matter who sued whom.
The Lexus looks a like like a mercedes. But thats just my opinion.
I check the iPad then is see that i can't run a firefox on it. Maybe its because Apple controls both hardware and software so it is perfectly right to deny software that doesn't conform with apples guidelines.
Why was MS punished for not letting the competition run on the MS platform. Strange. Maybe there is a double standard of sorts.
The new world of patents is an ugly one and you and me will pay the price for it.
It appears that these issues are only an issue in the computer biz. Look at cars, electronics etc.. there are always copies of other products. You can draw also the conclusion that every other maker copied from apple therefore everyone should pay apple or 'make their own phone'. In the future apple will be left as the one that invented smartphones. The winner writes history as it always was.
Even if samsung copied some aspects of the design, it is also apparent that they had a better phone than the iPhone. So even if you (in general) think apple deserves protection in the end it hurts consumers for lesser choices and higher prices. The consumer is perfectly capable to distinguish between an Apple product and a Samsung or any other names product.
Apple is now the new MS. I don't own either samsung or apple, but i don't like that my choices are made somewhere else.
Not sure about that, but i remember that Apple sold Apple certified components like ram vs. regular or standard components. Not sure if the had, in the ram, an extra bit for verification or anything like that. But i refer to the old G3 imac here.
I assume that was the reason that Google bought Motorola in the first place. Lawsuit this, Apple.
But i feel, that Apple has perhaps a legitimate reason to sue but on the other hand i think it is bad for us, consumers. If the conclusion you are drawing is true (which i think it is) then we are looking in a dark future where only iPhones are sold in stores since other companies can not innovate other inputs and/or device looks that customers not confused anymore that they think they have an iPhone when it is in reality a Samsung Galaxy (so i read).
Apple is now beyond good and evil in my view. So no Apple for me.
It is a shame for any legislator to differentiate between 'legitimate' and not 'legitimate' rape.
The fact is, rape is rape.
The signal that is sent is that there is rape that is good and not bad at all. And that some women just lying about it.
That scores some point with a certain electorate but it ignores the fact that women and also other groups are victims of rape.
Who elects these representatives in this country.
Apple is like the Comodore or Atari of old. A closed system that has non removable parts and is hard to expand, just by design. So its nothing new really, but it is amusing if one reads that Apple goes green.
I personally don't care if Apple would require people to replace a computer every 2 years. They just think that you, the costumer, are not capable or should not bothered with the labor to replace the part, like a battery.
The old G3 iMac could at least be expanded with other memory. From what i read, not anymore. That is a shame if its true.
Also, the undoing of the Glass-Steagal Act - a major deregulation of the banking industry which directly led to the financial collapse in 2008 - was passed under Clinton's watch
I think people tend to assume that anyone who receives welfare is automatically someone who doesn't deserves it.
There are many people with illnesses or older people that receive welfare to survive. Of course there is always a small percentage of people that indeed make the system work for them. But thats not the norm.
Statistics show that people even with jobs are in need of assistance because their jobs just pay not as much to sustain a living.
I always get the impression that people are more jealously of others and the argument that you did not pay enough it, doesn't fly at all. Otherwise why not just abolish the welfare and have everyone see for them self how to survive.
It wasn't so much about the temperature as more with the trend. The trend is going up, but who is to say. Just buy a better sun factor with your suncream and everything will be fine.

Mm.. i think deniers say 'its not happening', like a pregnancy.

The all new iFlush
I just wonder. If Romney wins and he repeals the Healtcare bill, what will come in its place? I hadn't heard anything concrete from Romney on that.

One of the things i never quite understood. Why?

There are indirect taxes and direct taxes. Direct taxes like your income taxes vs. indirect taxes like in products you buy.

I am not sure if that will work. Even if Steam goes to Linux, will users do?
