um... treating us well? We've only been waiting what, 6 years? Its not like an HTML based replacement was standardized and implemented across all browsers in roughly the same time... oh wait, that's not true either.
I don't even want flash installed on my browsers now. Its the land of ads and malware and battery drain. no thank you.
Submitter also doesn't seem to realise.NET isn't a language, it's a platform (more akin to an API than a language), and you can code for.NET using many different languages, and you can't code "in.NET", since there isn't such a language. I presume he made the common beginner mistake of conflating "C#" with ".NET", and I'll infer he meant C#.
I've deliberately omitted.NET — I have no desire to do the Microsoft languages.
They said languages. The bundling of.NET is a bit confusing but not entirely incorrect.
Also, there are plenty of options of languages and job markets that excluding.NET doesn't seem as poor a career decision as everyone is making it out to be.
You know... this sounds strangely familiar. Oh, that's right. Its the same comments heard last time this happened. I hold no illusions about Blizzard anymore. They have long since stopped being the lovable Blizzard North of my youth. In fact, I probably just didn't see it back then.
Blizzard is a company. They're job is to make money. Its not to make you happy. I should be clear as to what I mean by "you". You, a linux user, are such a small portion of their market that they could completely alienate you and they would still be billionaires at the end of the day. If it makes their margins a little smaller because they don't have to spend as much employee time looking at possible cheating attempts then why would they? They are trying to make money.
Thanks the breaks, when I finally get banned I'm not going to dual boot or complain or whine. I'm just going to make a post somewhere documenting I've joined the masses of banned linux WoW players and move on to a better game. It wasn't worth it in the first place.
First book I read and the first book I suggest to any computer savy friend interested in linux is the Gentoo Handbook. I'm not trying to start a distro flamewar but is does a really good job of explaining nearly everything you are putting into your system as you install it. Plus you end up with a working linux install which is a definite plus. Then if you aren't burned out any of the books above will give you a better understanding of why everything works the way it does and how it varies from system to system. Most users don't care about the later though. That's my $0.02 for what its worth.
I'd say first would be not to use enom... when I saw hwlogic.com not showing up I did some research on the "extended RGP" thing and found other people with this problem. Is this legal?
I think you're misreading the title. He ment that Big-Iron(mainframe companies) are opening to AMD. This will allow AMD to scale up their processors using the Big-Iron tech. Sounds good to me.
Whatching the stream with the dancing sheep visualization seemed a lot more informative. And if Scott did his snide hinting at the short life of linux anymore I might have shot that little sheep.
You know, that's just stupid. It's not censored because they dont want you to see it. It's sensored because who wants to see their sons head ripped open on cnn. think moron.
The advantage spans not only from the ability to cut out interferance(the age old bane of the electronicly amplified musician), it also come from the imidiate ease of adding digital effects. each effects you added to your sound before was most likely gaing through a/d->effect->d/a and eachtime adding a little bit of "quality loss". Your setup might in the end look something like a/d-effect->d/a->a/d-efect->d/a->etc but now it could look like a/d->effect->effect->effect->d/a. Now the advantage becomes more aparent. Course this means all new equipment but theoreticly it shouldn't be a difficult transition for manufacturer's assuming gibson get's the product of the ground.
Now who's stupid, Patriot act part 2 is already here in the Homeland Security Action. Who needed rights anyways. Furthermore I'm insulted by you generalization about slashdoters. I for one would like to point out that it's not a coin flip because the 2 parties are the same. Shoot the middle is the way to play the political game. The reason the libertarian, green and reform party dont win is because the are "extreme" in that they ask for the ultimate sin in politics. Change. People are content even when things are some what bad not to venture into changing the system. Next time you feel like voicing your opinion try not to step out to far because there are people out there that actually do understand whats going on.
Anyone that has taken stats would have a field day on this post. extra factors: 1. pc more available (who buys a mac at best buy?) 2. lowend price ect.
Personally, I believe smarter people are drawn to pcs. I built my own and I like the ability to upgrade. Further more higher education doesn't say anything about intelegence. So on that note, enjoy poking fun at me Mac users, I'll take your G4 down anyday!
The old slash article was posted 2 months ago about this. And aperntly even then the news had been out for 2 months. 4 months behind are we? And when something intresting like the canceling of the US release of shenmue 2, the second part in the epic story by sega's masterful Yu Sezuki, because it's being moved to Bill's Crap-Box it doesn't even make the cut. Maybe this will be listed as flamebait or what ever but sometimes the people who review these stories not only confuse me but piss me off.
i completely agree. i liked the comparison posted earlier testing the 1.2 t-bird with ddr against a similar system. That seems more fair. Besides my 750/859 athlon is still flying in linux so who cares!
I feel pretty stupid but i was really into dinosaurs around the Jurasic Park craze and I remember info being released back then about the likelyhood of this(probably lost in the hype about some dino's being colorful). Not to say the calculations aren't important b/c the way i see it, they're proof of a old "theory".

60? I was thinking of a much bigger TV. Envisions knocking out ceilings and walls to get it in the house. :)

I've been using Portable Thunderbird for over a year

I've searched through the UT site and googled and found no information on this!? Were's this coming from?

I've been wanting to hear what happened from people. i'm just dreading the day when all of them are on the talk shows...
