"The big corporations feel entitled to our private lives, and we can't stop them."
Well, you can start by NOT installing the Facebook app and not using Facebook. Sure, they can get info from other sources, but they could always do that. Get used to it. In the name of "National Security" on the government end and services you can use for free on the corporate end, your info is not and never will be truly private, probably ever again baring some sort of major upheaval in society.
Damn right. These corporate assholes and the executives wouldn't have shit if it weren't for all the REAL workers doing the real work. Most can't even figure out how to print a simple document to a printer...
"Google also describes how advertisers will be able to use a customer's profile 'to exclude a customer from being considered for an offer based on exclusion criteria identified by a business,' such as age, job title, purchasing history, clothing size, or other 'desirable' characteristics.""
Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are licking their lips and lawyers are lining up for the discrimination lawsuits...
No kidding. They'll tax the hell out of electricity to make up for lost gasoline taxes...nothing is free... And just how expensive are these cars, and how long do you have to sit and wait for them to recharge?
We still have one or two Game Gear units and a bunch games sitting in the cubby hole. Maybe instead of the trash, they need to visti eBay or Craigslist instead....
So far, there aren't any real compelling Wii U exclusive games to warrant buying a Wii U.
Every console goes through this to some degree until the exclusives people really want hit. Expect to see a sales spike when the new Wii U "Legend of Zelda" and/or Pokemon title hits...
No reason to bring a laptop into a theater just because you're too lazy to stop at home first or too afraid of where the theater is. If I was that worried about the location of the theater, I wouldn't bother going to that theater at all...
Oh yeah, I agree with the last paragraph completely. Except where he told the them from the beginning to go ahead and search his Google Glass. But yes, the guy is a glasshole and these people deserve all the harassment they get.
I was wondering why the hell he thinks he needs to drag a laptop to a movie theater.... Hopefully it gets hit by a flying coke... (although that'd be very expensive with the ridiculous concession prices)
Yeah, but it looks like Microsoft didn't learn their lesson and are still pushing their "Your computer is just a big smartphone/tablet!" Metro garbage still...
A is better than B and B is better than C doesn't automatically mean A is better than C.
It would require more details and specifics.
When A and B are compared, the criteria that make A better than B doesn't necessarily make A better than C. The specifics and criteria used to judge/choose "better/preferred" need to be known as well.
Silly (and highly personal example): A = Reese Peanut Butter Cups B = M&Ms C = Reese's Pieces
I like A more than B, and B more than C, but given the choice between A and C, I'd pick C.
IF the parents can't support the children, then the children have to be removed.
Starving kids is another form of abuse. I suppose you are in favor of it since the you keep bleating ignorant garbage about kids needing jobs but not being old enough to work.
Damn, last week I had mod points, this week when you post this, I don't.
+700 for common sense
Like the US cares about NZ (well, Hollywood loves using your landscapes....) and what a few Kiwis think
This is Slashdot, 50/50 of either

With the size of my hands, one handful of d6's and I'd never fail a below 30 or so....:)
Fantasy Football. D&D for Jocks
Fuck you. Movie theaters seats are for people, not backpacks.
Go home before you come to the theater and drop your crap off.
Skylandees and Disney Infinity aren't video games, they're "Action Figure" Sales generators....

Luggage has no place in a theater. No reason for anything excess in a movie theater,
There's no need for luggage at a movie theater
That's what trunks are for.

This hits the nail on the head for why so many are against the "victim" despite his whole ordeal being ridiculous and unconstitutional.

" U.S. trademark on the use of the word 'candy' in games and clothing."
Yet another example of how broken the whole trademark/copyright/patent system is...
Agreed, drop Metro on the desktop/laptop already.
For folks that like it, make it a downloadable add-on.
Yeah, but it looks like Microsoft didn't learn their lesson and are still pushing their "Your computer is just a big smartphone/tablet!" Metro garbage still...
But the TSA is a Travesty, not a "transivity"....
