It works as advertised, although on our slow Internet connection it is essentially unusable. Trying to do work on a standard iPad screen that is normally displayed on a big PC monitor or even a big laptop makes for pretty tiny print. $80 per year is pretty steep. $20-$30 is about the maximum I would pay even if our Internet connection for up to par. It will not work on a LAN over Wi-Fi. I have no trouble uninstalling the Access part by simply dragging the Access.app in the applications folder into the trash and then emptying the trash and restarting. I did not see any extraneous processes running according to the Activity Monitor. Running the Parallel.app version 9 does not show any additional processes than before version 9 was installed. If and when I have to do real work, I will just take my MacBook and use the iPad strictly for entertainment, maybe answering an occasional email.

I say that sending your child to public school is akin to child abuse.

Not supporting Public Schools is Child Abuse on a Mass scale.

The worst thing that has happened to Public Schools in America is they have become a political weapon used by one party against another. Rather than improve the schools, we keep getting assholes who call themselves Education Candidates -- in a way, they are up front, they're going to teach you how not to run your schools.

While public school systems in many countries are great successes, the American public school has become a target of derision, blame and shame. Not quite lofty goals, not what they could be.

I do believe teachers should be held to account, but so should parents. I had good parents and I attended excellent public schools, which received the full support of the community. It should be that good everywhere, then private schools would be the joke.

Politics and political correctness are certainly a big factor in why public schools mostly leave a lot to be desired in terms of the product they turn out; namely educated children. Any organization, whether business or the schools where the employees get paid regardless of whether the product they turn out is good or bad will eventually fail. Because of the teachers union and political reasons, it is virtually impossible to fire a bad teacher. Also, for the skill and costly education required to be a good teacher, the pay in all but the richest school districts is abysmal. Anybody with any brains or skill at all will look for a teaching job only as a last resort. There are very few people that go into teaching simply because they love children and want to see them succeed.

The reason why people send their kids to private schools is the same reason why people refuse to buy a shoddy product in the marketplace, if they can afford something better. Until there is a correlation between the pay educators get and the quality of product they turn out, there is no hope to improve the public schools. Fortunately, especially because of the advent of the Internet, many people of modest means are turning to homeschooling which is far less expensive than almost any private school. Ever since God was kicked out of public school, many Christian parents have removed their children from that anti-God secular environment as well.

Is there a law that states that browser makers, such as Microsoft, Apple and others MUST include all that extraneous information that their browsers send to Web servers without the user's permission? Why must there be *any* information sent to a Web server other than the actual request for data? Why must a Web server know any information at all about what kind of an OS, sites last visited or whether or not a user has visited a site before? If these companies that make browsers really cared about privacy, they would enable their users to select which, if any, of this data to send out on the Internet. Perhaps somebody might get rich making a browser that allows users to return off the sending of all that extra information.

Why is the timescale so important as to future predictions? That "someone" is God and he foretold that the Jews would be scattered all over the earth. That happened exactly in the year 70 A.D. and was finalized in 135 A.D. but the prediction of this was made many centuries before it happened. God further predicted that not too long before the end of history as we have known it, the scattered Jews would be brought back into their homeland. This happened when the state of Israel was founded on May 14, 1948. God further predicted that after this takes place, the Jews will never again be uprooted out of their homeland. God predicted that Jerusalem would once again come under sovereign control of the Jewish people, something that has not been true for thousands of years. This was fulfilled in the Six-Day War where on June 6, 1967 Israel assumed sovereign control over Jerusalem. The combined might of the Arab armies have tried four times to exterminate the nation of Israel, but so far have failed miserably. It must be horribly embarrassing to the Islamist Arabs, that their god Allah does not give them victory over the Jews which they hate and wish to exterminate. Instead, the Jewish God Jehovah whose human name is Jesus, protects the Jews.

Right at this time, there are still many Jews scattered in various nations, especially the US. God further tells us through his prophets that the time will come when there will not be a single Jew anywhere on earth except for their ancient homeland, Israel. As I write this, Egypt is at the door of Civil War. God's prophet Isaiah, foretold that this would happen. There will be three more attempts to wipe out Israel. During one of these attempts, Damascus, the Syrian capital will be totally destroyed. The final futile attempt will be when ALL armies of all nations of the earth participate in the final war of humanity, the battle of Armageddon. God writes history in advance, which he uses to authenticate his message the Bible to all mankind.

That's a matter of personal opinion. In general wrong and illegal are the same thing, because no one will be able to decide what is wrong unless it's defined that way.

No, it's a matter of fundamental morals. If you'd lived in nazi Germany, would you have ratted on a neighbour hiding Jews? Not doing so was illegal, but also the only right thing to do.

Equating illegal with wrong means you're uncritically accepting your government as the ultimate judge in ethical matters.

Where do fundamental morals come from? If the government is not the ultimate judge of ethical matters, who is? The government after all is nothing but a collection of people, such as in the Nazi case, who have decided that the Jews are "subhuman". In the pre-Civil War South, blacks were not considered to be human, but mere property, such as cattle or sheep. It is really a question of whether or not there are absolutes in the moral and ethical realm, as there are in the physical realm. No one can repeal or negate the law of gravity, because it is absolute as are all natural laws.

At one time people believed that all laws, whether natural or moral were put in place by the Supreme Lawgiver, God. The founding fathers believed that all humans have inalienable rights that are given to them by the author of life. All governments everywhere can and have only ever taken away these divinely given rights of all people. If God is left out of the equation, such as is commonly the case today, exactly who decides what is moral or ethical? Is it the majority opinion? Is it the one with the biggest and best weapons? Who?
