  1. like i said before on What Are Microsoft And Napster Talking About? · · Score: 1

screw microsoft, screw the RIAA - napster should just sell itself to anyone outside north america and then there is nothing that could be done. the RIAA would only be able to throw a hissy fit becuase they were finally out smarted. after all, the creator of napster was never in it for the money.

  2. From whats been happing..... on On Starting a Successful ISP? · · Score: 1

where i live, all the local internet companies are struggling to stay alive. With the high speed internet being offered by DSL and CABLE, the only reason the little guys have held on was because they had been around for a while and built up a fairly large customer group based on their dial in access. Now with the big compaines moving in to sell the high speed, the only thing the little guys can do is re-sell the big companies services. And it just dosn't seem to be working out right now. The one thing that the little guys are starting to look into is the wireless technology. That seems to be their only way out of this situation. But they still dont know how its going to turn out. Ah well... i guess what im trying to say is don't bother with it.

This is a summary of all the dot.com stories this guy has read. It dosn't mean that this particular sotry is true. After all, with the ecomony just plain sucking right now, and most of the dot.com businesses going under, this was just representing what most people want to do with e-commerse. Big expectations, going to make huge money on a product that nobody knows abour and a product that nobody really needs but your too fooslish to realize it, work with only people you know and like, and comming up with the most unorthodox methods of running your businees because they suit your needs of work monday & tuesday, and jerk off wednesday to sunday. Finaly realizing that your business if doomed becuase you had no idea what you were getting into, until it was far to late. The part I liked the most was the story line behind them. I dont think i was ever disappointed with any of the games. Now it seems to be all FPS with blood and gore (dont get me wrong, I like half-life as much as the next guy, espically CS) but its getting repetitive. Leave it to the human race to jump to conclusions way too early, probably some over zealous scientist that wanted to be the one to calculate the number of genes. This just proves that they still dont know what the human genome does and there is a lot more work that needs to be done before they go making any other predictions.

Who knows, write oodles and oodles of emails telling them to stop it, but thats about it. Someone will probably say to boycott the software packages, but that never works either becuase there are always people who must have it in order to run the business'. I guess this message is just more of a personal statement about that type of marketing, but like I said before, what can we do about it if they decide to take this route in marketing.
