Well, I come from the Car world... Working on honda's.
I will tell you, a good amount of SCAMMERS are on ebay and I swear most of them end up scamming people on performance car parts... or fake "upgrades" like a teeny $0.05 resistor that is supposed to add 20 HP for $50..
or people disguising one car as another for sale... Calling something a higher trim level than it really is...
OR, another big hype is to Disguise one part as another... Especially With the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) craze, everything is called JDM!
I know of several people that have been seriously ripped, and in a way, I'm glad that Ebay will pass out a scammers info.. esp. to the police.
This is just the world that we live in if you ask me...
It all started when some people figured out that the larger Integra motors would bolt right into the 5th Gen (92-95) Civic chassis, and really pep up the car.. after awhile news spread, and it was becoming a very popular swap... Eventually, like anything, the aftermarket just swamped the market with cheap, poorly made "performance" parts... and thus "Ricing" begun... finally after "The Fast and the Furious" hit the theaters, it became commonplace...
I have a CRX that's been completely worked over and I take offense to people bashing on the Civic modifying... Some people just don't understand going fast for cheap.
These guys have some good stuff going on... Modifying Stock ECU's for datalogging, boost control, and of course Fuel/Timing... All DIY, why pay $1000's for a Hondata or Zdyne?
I've asked Santa for this one, and I've been dyying for it to come out on DVD well, ever since I got my DVD player. This was my alltime favorite Movie set of all time (er well maybe equal with Star Wars) But Either way I'm glad to see it finally apprearing on DVD, problems with the widescreen or not, I can't wait to get my copy!
I work in a mostly MS shop. I use linux primarilly.
Staroffice or OpenOffice are perfect for working with most MS-Office Docs, Word compatibility is 100%, as well as their spreadsheet program (sorry Gnumeric)
when the 6.0 final release is out, i personally feel that it's a best bet for working in a MS shop.

I've heard from friend that this movie is "the best movie he's seen to date."
so I'm quite psyched to see it myself, and after reading i think this review does justice.
We probably wouldn't be "rolling our own" Desktops right now if it werent for people like this guy...
This is an excellent idea and I would love to help out in a project like this. I've always wanted to roll my own laptop... And something setup with the pc104 standard would be a great start. This could be the future of laptops for everyone.
Thank You.
I'm sure that everyone here was using TurboPascal
back in the day and loving it. There is no need to be flaming Borland for no reason. Sure... Delphi may be the Black Sheep of the windows community, but the reason for that is because of Microsoft forcing VisStudio down everyone's throat. We ALL know that Delphi is a faster, better product. And IMHO, With Kylix being released, we will start to see more and more applications for Linux. Just knock it off with the Flaming.
The X Window system was/is nice...
My only problem with it is that it's pretty slow.
DirectFB could be a nice way to "integrate" everything together kinda like the MacOS for much Faster Performance...
A "Client for SAMBA Networks" seems to make sense. If M$ Drops the SMB protocol it would only seem natural to make a 3rd party client to use the former, most people aren't going to want to update their networks just to use this new "standard"...
But a client or driver or whatever to use SAMBA networks on the windows side...
It just makes sense.
the recordinging industry of *america* doesn't really count canada ;-)

at least it's out in the open...

what has this world come to.
