why should this be noted? It sounds like bullshit to me... and it falls apart right when you start talking about how hard workers are republicans.

Pay attention, my friend. You are speaking nonsense.

the carlyle group employs many powerful politicians, including former PResident Bush. they also have many investments in Saudi Arabia and abroad. They are much more than a defense contractor.

anyone who plays "no quarter" will make an excellent version of it. Its because of the guitar riff.

This is the most logical choice... A simple BASH script and mp3splt will do PRECISELY what you want.

  5. Re:AMBIENT on Appropriate Music for Callers 'On Hold'? · · Score: -1

Let me qualify this by saying that I love Aphex Twin's SAW. To death.

Why do people treat these CD like it is the seminal work of the genre? They are pretty good, but come ON people... The Orb and Brian Eno are barely represented these days. And what of William Orbit? Or Global Communication? Or Mix Master Morris? These artists have all released stuff just as seminal as Aphex Twin. Yet, for some reason SAW I and II rise above EVERYTHING else in the genre. Boh, I say!

Its kind of like how any trumpet player who experiments with beats, electronics or funk is automatically compared to Miles Davis. Davis is a towering figure in the trumpet world, but there have ALLWAYS been other trumpet players.

    Dag nabbit!

  6. Re:My Hero on Justin Frankel On AOL, Subverting The Status Quo · · Score: -1

Dude, diggin on Justin Frankel is a good choice... BUT, I hope you don't have a certain opinion of him because of the Rolling Stone article. That publication has a clear agenda; they portray people as badasses, so people who like rebels and rock-and-roll will read their magazine and go "Right on!" Justin is an awesome programmer with great ideas, and he did a lot to shape th emusic industry as well as the internet itself. But its important to remember your sources when you read an article like this... I've had IRC conversations with him on EFNet, and I've found him to be quite an asspipe.

I dunno man... Albums produced is not a measure of the quality of music in China. I bet most of those musicians who aren't cutting albums are out there playing and making people happy. Music is not allways about "professional albums produced."
