I was expecting something more than just a "good job" message at the designated URL. I guess it's the journey, not the destination. for those of you out there, use the URL to get you started.
If this neighbor is bordering your property, and especially if the bedroom is near the edge of your house, you're perfectly within your rights to install security flood lighting around your property. (Even if it happens to be attached to a tree, aimed in an no so precice direction.)
Get some 12v lighting, and replace the bulbs with the annoying high temp blue bulbs that you see kids installing in their cars. (some minor modifications may be required for the car lamps to fit, as well as heat testing) A few dozen of those around your property should make it look like the surface of the sun. And hey, if your friendly neighbors are also in need of some security lighting (speciffically the ones surrounding his property) provide some free consulting services on installing a system for them.
i have this installed on all the machines i adminstrate. placed in/etc/motd. Also, if you change the "banner" option in SSH to point to/etc/motd, the security message will be displayed before and after authentication.

Try Ginger. It's an ancient remedy for motion sickness of all kinds. My Fiancee swears by it now. 3D games have always made her sick.. and now that she discovered Ginger (thanks to Mythbusters) she can play too.
Google around for some suggested doses. I've heard as little as a pill or two before, to as much as 5 for the entire day before. Course, being it's a "spice" (if you've ever eaten sushi, they always give you a pile) doses can be liberal. experiment and find what works for you.
For those of you who would like to see Daniel's ninja website design skills, I've setup a round robin mirror since the origional site has been slashdotted.
As an open source/linux advocate i may be biased, but, i have not seen a single comment/article/thought about the potential security impact to solaris. Yes, I know, open source in the long run can harden and improve a product.
But, I'd be willing to bet in the next 12 months, you're going to see a slew of solaris patchs, some probably impacting achient versions of solaris that i'm sure many people are still using. With the legacy/history that solaris has, i'd bet there will be something like The age of buffer overflows that linux has expierenced over the last 6 years. And if that happens, you're going to see a slew of patches from Sun and people running away from Solaris, not to it.
That 5 year old ultra 2 running in your closet or that E3000 is going to need alot more attention, especially when solaris compromises are commonplace. I see this as fueling the migration trend from Solaris to Linux, not slowing/killing it.
Solaris may be a "proven" OS in the closed source arena. But it has a LONG way to go to prove itself all over again in the open waters of Open Source. And linux is ahead of that game by eons in tech-years.
Previously when visiting out of state family, i used to lug around a laptop and a external modem and a credit card to dial my isp. well, after getting sick of doing this, i was convinced there was SOME better way of doing this.
I invested in a Palm IIIx about 6-8 months ago. i am unable to live with out its skills. About 3 months ago i invested in an "Open-box" Minstrel Modem for the PalmIII. It ended up running me only $100 plus shipping from the Manuf. My CDPD service is thru GoAmerica for $10/month, no roaming charges, and "15kb worth of data."
The road trip took 23 hours and someone was on that silly thing for MOST of the trip. I ran thru 3 sets of batteries on the modem alone and who knows how many on the pilot. It sent countless emails and ICQs and recieved stock quotes, slashdot, cnn, etc. all from the middle of nowhere. Even though the service was spotty at times, I was still impressed at the level and coverage and service for somthing with such a small market.
(ps, we need an avantgo channel for this site, it's difficult to read and next to impossible to post... ahh well.)
Well.... ETrade still hasn't learned how to handle IPOs.... i priced the VA Linux IPO at $30/share and for 400 shares.... and didn't get a single one. Their phone staff is less than helpful in explaining how they allocate shares and they don't exactly "explain" the procedure they follow to award shares. If you work at ETrade, go slap your boss for me.
