Personally I wish it hadn't gone that far. Better to stay under the radar.. But anyways.. trillian was cut off, unless you disabled secureIM. That only worked for a day though. Cerulean released a patch that disabled it automatically but the next day access was blocked again.
Someone though AOL was on a mission. He even showed a screen shot that showed the uninstall icon for AIM being a crossed out trillian icon. Too bad he didn't realize that that icon was some kind of bug, cuz my uninstall icon was a vncviewer icon. GO figure.
But the fix for that second day was to go back to an even older version of trillian. Now cerulean just released one that works now without having to go back to an older version.
Some people just seemed to jump the gun a little I think.
Then again.. maybe AOL does have it in for them. Either way the cerulean guys are doing a great job!
Alot of people use CGI to stand for computer generated imagery. Maybe you should have put that under the meanings for CGI as well. Just to be complete that is.
This is one of the best traditional console RPGS I've played in a LONG time. My current fave it Final Fantasy 5, but this one is catching up. AWESOME graphics, and a huge storyline!

I bought a foosball table (regulation size) off of ubid. And somehow, this HUGE thing got lost by UPS... How? I really don't know. Thankfully the refund process was pretty painless. Called up ubid, they called UPS, UPS puts a trace on it. They don't find it, they credit ubid, ubid credit my card. EZ. Then I bought another one. This one arrived, but the box was mangled a bit. Oh well!:)
Are the factories going or not?

Who to believe.. one source says the factories aren't producing.. another says they (or at least one) is/are.
from the latimes article:
Microsoft's vice president of games, Ed Fries, this week told online game magazine Gamespot that two factories in Hungary and Mexico have not yet started to manufacture final retail machines.

The Guadalajara plant has been in production for around two weeks.

I'm sure he's probably gonna write a nice article about slashdot, and being slashdotted. So while it may suck that it is slashdotted, we'll be sure to reap some rewards:). Can't wait to see what his wacked out mind comes up with.. buwuauahha!
"The nice thing about this is you don't have to replace the whole line, just the lines with sag," Rodriguez said. "For a few hundred thousand dollars you can fix an existing line in a few weeks time so it wouldn't be a bottleneck."
So they're only replacing some of the lines, wouldn't that mean it would be impossible to transmit data, since only some of the lines are being replaced?
Still, it provides a roadmap for the future for full conversion, I just think that 2003 is probably way too early to expect data transmission:)
Good call... I didn't catch that:). I was enjoying the article right up until this point where it seemed that he was on more of a misinformed rant than anything else.
About 10-12 CDs worth will completely use up the memory of a 3GB hard drive
lets say 10 tracks apiece with 5 meg size with 10 cds, thats 500 megs. Maybe he meant some super high quality mp3s? I think perhaps the point was missed that noone buys 3GB drives anymore, and most people don't care about the difference between CD quality and mp3 128kbps quality...
I wonder how accurate it is. The product is called relatable in that it was designed to recommend music similar to songs that you listen to. So it seems that they could mistake one song for another quite easily. Also, what about the processing overhead for doing this to every file that a user wants to share? And finally... what if the user has a legit "free" song that parodies another? The filter would probably not allow that song through if it sounds too similar (think weird al... if he allow his music to be freely distributable).
Consider a few things - Transmeta's Crusoe chip is a new product, rushed to market in an amazingly small time frame
Yeah.. that must be because they have that technology that would take competitors YEARS to create... while neglecting to mention that transmeta hasn't even been around that long;).

I thought I had read about this on slashdot a few days ago.. I just had trouble finding the article. Damn slashbacks ;)
