Currently, one of the most troubling bugs for me is that apparently memory cache isn't implemented for http! Someone please tell me that I'm reading the bug report wrongly. Really, I'm in such disbelief about this "no memory cache", that I just can't comprehend how this could be the case. Maybe the bug report is describing that they just haven't yet implemented the new cache system or something, that perhaps there "old memory cache" is at least still in there?
Of course, that's not to say that I don't like Mozilla. In fact, I make a point of downloading the nightly builds every day:)
PS For those Mozilla enthusiasts in the audience, you may find the daily build comments interesting. There, the page's author lists the various bugs that were fixed in the day's build.
I just checked out the official Robotech site. However, I find it most disturbing that on the front page I see:
"By using this Web site, you are agreeing to the Terms of Use."
Yikes. To me, that's much like a shrink-wrap license (where the license terms are only listed inside the package), as there's no way I could have even seen the Terms of Use without going to the website first!
I'm currently giving some thought to looking at other jobs. And, I'm considering almost all areas of the country (USA, in this case). Is there a list of the states' blue laws somewhere? If so, I'd like to consult that, as I'll make a point of *not* living in restrictive states.
Or, if no such list is available, perhaps someone can give some info on the blue laws (or lack thereof) for a few specific states. Can anyone speak up for Washington (state), Texas, or Oregon?
Is it just me, or does Phoenix seem evil? These were the same people who planned to include bootup ads in their BIOSes. I'm not sure if that plan ever got off the ground, as I don't actually have a Phoenix BIOS;).
Could someone explain this AYBABTU ("All Your Base Are Belong To Us") business? I've seen it all over the 'net like a bad meme. Someone enlighten me:).

If you're looking for a new DSL provider, I'd highly recommend checking out DSL Reports. In the DSL Finder section, you can even search for DSL providers by Zip Code.
And, no, I don't work for them, but I did find my current DSL provider (CapuNet, which I'm very pleased with) through this method.
To clarify, yes, I know that I can order one from Linuxcare... But, I'm still looking for more of an automated e-commerce approach, instead of just having to email someone and such;).
Timothy briefly mentions Applied Cryptography, but it really deserves more than just a mention. From a review in Sunworld: "This 700-plus-page magnum opus is one of the finest technical books I have ever read, easily satisfying my requirements of readability, accessibility, and depth."
Is it just me, or is anyone else interested in seeing BattleBots on DVD? I did notice that their store lists a VHS video for sale, but I just don't buy VHS anymore..
I'm considering starting an online petition for this. Do you think that'd work?
As far as a receiver, I've heard verygoodthings about the Outlaw Audio1050. It's a 6.1 channel receiver, but for $599 (available only by ordering online directly). From all that I've read, quality such as theirs would normally cost a few hundred more. And, I'm not the type to usually buy such inexpensive components (in contrast to the Panasonic DVD H1000 that I own, for instance), but this product just won me over. As such, I'll be placing an order for one within a couple weeks. And, no, I don't work for them;).
In the comparison section of the site, there're sections for "Bitmap text", "Anti-aliased text", and "Anti-aliased text with gamma adjustment". I think that the gamma adjustment version looks best among the three, but what is gamma adjustment? I mean, I know what it is in the Quake III sense;), but I don't quite comprehend this context.
PS Does anyone have a mirror of that supposedly pretty eye candy?

That "even Kansas agrees" bit seems almost tantamount to Bill Gates saying, in 2004 or so "That Linux 2.6 kernel, it's grrreat!"

Sure enough, magnets and electromagnets are allowed. However, electricity-based weapons are not. So, actually, I'm not sure where this falls ;).

Heh, I'd just like to see what its Bovine RC5 keyrate is. I mean, an Athlon 1440 can get about 5 Mkeys/sec, so I can only imagine what this beast gets..

Along with this and other offenses, I've decided to avoid doing any further business with Symantec. For starters, I've begun to look at other antivirus utilities (primarily for Win2k — stop snickering!). And, so far, Command Antivirus looks to be quite promising, especially since it's available for so many OSs. Any recommendations?

So, how long will it take until I can order one of these posters from ThinkGeek or Copyleft? I want one!

Really, it's that good. Even the often-critical Slashdot reviews found it to be "Outstanding". If you have even a passing interest in cryptography, I'd highly recommend picking up this book. Just don't buy it from Amazon, please :).
